The journey, which lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, runs between the mouth of the Douro River and the Infante D. Henrique Bridge. Departing from Douro Marina, this route allows you to observe the riverside areas of the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. A tour that will stay in your memory forever.

Ponte da Arrábida is an arch bridge over the Douro River that connects Porto (through the Arrábida area) to Vila Nova de Gaia (through the Candal junction), in Portugal. Since the 1930s, it was necessary to create alternative connections to the old bridges (D. Maria Pia and D. Luís bridges) in order to respond to the growing flow of road traffic. At the time of its construction in 1963, the bridge had the largest reinforced concrete arch of any bridge in the world. A tour that will stay in your memory forever.

The Infante D. Henrique Bridge was inaugurated on March 30, 2003. Ponte Infante Dom Henrique, also known as Ponte do Infante, is a road bridge that connects Vila Nova de Gaia to Porto, over the Douro River, in Portugal. Named in honor of Infante D. Henrique, born in Porto, it is the most recent bridge connecting Porto and Gaia.

The mythical bridge! Transport and communications architecture, 19th century. 19. Iron bridge, for road, rail and pedestrian traffic, made up of two metallic decks, supported by a large iron arch and five pillars. The decks located at different levels, and with different dimensions, adapting to the riverbanks, allow access to different points in the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. The entire structure is made up of straight and parabolic beams, filled with other vertical beams supported by others that are crossed or perpendicular. The construction of the bridge played with the deep valley in which it is inserted, through two decks, placed at different heights and lengths. A tour that will stay in your memory forever.

Serra do Pilar or Serra de São Nicolau or Serra de São Nicolau de Vila Nova is an elevation overlooking the Douro River located in the parish of Santa Marinha, Vila Nova de Gaia, bordering the city of Porto. The famous Serra do Pilar Monastery is located there.

The D. Maria Pia Bridge is a railway infrastructure, which carried the Northern Line over the Douro River, between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, in the North of Portugal. It was inaugurated on November 4, 1877 and closed on June 24, 1991, having been replaced by Ponte de São João.

The São João Bridge is a railway infrastructure that transports the Northern Line over the Douro River, close to the city of Porto, in Portugal. Built to replace the already century-old Ponte D. Maria Pia, it entered service on June 24, 1991

This was by far the highlight of my Porto trip! Beautiful ride, very nice staff, and a clean new boat!

It was a perfect way to see Porto from the river without the crush of other tourists! Sara was delightful and knowledgeable and the sparkling wine was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this tour.

This is a nice relaxing boat trip, but definitely be prepared for a slow boat. The two people that drove the boat were lovely and very nice.
I would say it was a little too relaxing/slow for me, but I was hoping for more of an adventure. Good for a nap though!

The hosts, Sara and Joao ( I’m sorry if I spelled name wrong..) were excellent!!

They won’t overwhelm you with guiding, however if you have some questions they are really welcome to answer them and they are knowledgeable.

We enjoyed sitting at front top of boat!
I could tell Joao tried to sail boat calm as possible and I really appreciate that because I get sea sick easily.

Sara and Joao both have kind smiles and make us comfortable. My mother loved their snack baskets and Sara even shared product infos with us through WhatsApp.
Also, of course we enjoyed champagne they provided<3

They took all the way to boarder of Porto, went through all 6 bridges.
The sunset was gorgeous!!!
We had some great pictures too.

Towards to end of cruise, it got colder but as soon as they saw it, there were blankets!
Everything was perfect!

Thank you for making our first time in Porto memories so special, Sara and Joao!
We never forget this experience:)

Great experience, would recommend! Good communication, easy access to the pier and the ship. Great staff that went the extra mile to provide a unique afternoon. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed the scenery, the sunset, the sparkling wine, the whole experience.

My husband and I decided to book this cruise on a whim and thank the STARS we did! After spending a few weeks traveling the EU, a sunset cruise on the Ribeira do Porto was the perfect end to our trip.

Key highlights:
1. Immaculate and comfortable, cruising boat. Once we were out of the marina, we were allowed to sit on the bow, which was an experience in itself. Once situated, Sara (our lovely hostess) provided a little basket with snacks and a bottle of champagne. Delightful.

2. Although not advertised, you pass by the six bridges, which is the selling point for most of the other tours, so you’re seeing all there is to see, but in an intimate, private setting, with a seasoned skipper who easily navigates the often bumpy waters.

3. (and the main reason for this review) our hosts: Sara and Joao. Guides/hosts can make or break an excursion. Fortunately for us, Sara and Joao are the definition of exceptional hosts; kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and TRULY invested in your experience. And as an introvert who is not one for small talk, I was nervous that I was in for 1.5 hrs of awkwardness given it was just the four of us, but there was ZERO awkwardness from the get-go. Sara and Joao leave you to do your own thing but are always at the ready if you have a question. In fact, I’m sure I went full-extrovert for most of the cruise because they were such a pleasure to talk to.

All in all, we couldn’t have been more pleased with this experience and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.
