This was awful. First off the weather said 100% rain. I figured this tour would get cancelled but since it did not, we went because it was no longer refundable. We drove up to the 5th station and it was so windy we all were soaked. Even at the highest point we could not see anything. After we drove back down we were told that because of the weather the other 2 things on the itinerary were canceled. We were taken to a shrine instead and to 3 souvenir shops! We were told by the tour guide we would receive an email from Viotar about a refund which we never received. I would will be reaching out when I get home to obtain a refund.

Our guide is Mao, she speaks perfect English. Her directions were very clear. I highly recommend this tour also. It was well organized tour, timeline was designed well. You have sufficient time to do everything, not rushed. It is the best way to spend least time to see more sites.

Levin was a great tour guy. He was given history of all the places that we visited and Japan. Unfortunately it was foggy and we didn’t get to see Mt. Fiji. Thank you.

The bus is clean & comfortable with free WiFi aboard. Our guide, Yume, was friendly & helpful. The lunch was delicious, offering hot pot and a variety of other foods such as salad, bread, rice, shrimp & calimari salad, ice cream & green tea with views of Mt. Fuji all around. Then onto the sky tram which takes you over the sulfuric steam vents, which smells terrible! The stench is somewhat tolerable & only lasted about 5 minutes. There are gift shops all over & a restaurant. Lake Ashi & the ship were stunning! Get on the boat early if you want to sit because it’s mostly standing room only. They offer you a billet train upgrade to get back to Tokyo. We decided to take the bullet train back because the other guide that was on the bus back reported a car wreck that would make our return to Tokyo about 3 hours. The tickets cost less at the train station & you can order reserved seats at the station, not if you upgrade with the tour guide.

We decided to do a group tour to Mt Fuji since it seemed that everyone sees the same thing whether you go on a private or group tour. They do pack a lot into one day. The good parts: the Ropeway and the boat ride. The bad parts: it is a long bus ride with no restrooms on board. Also, if you are unlucky enough to get assigned a seat in the back it is not very comfortable since you are sitting 5 across. The lunch was really not good for the money they charge. Overall, the alternative is to go to Mt Fuji on your own which can be logistically challenging if you want to see lake Ashi as well.

The whole tour was great.. but I think the best part was having a very knowledgeable tour guide - his name was "Mint"

Angie was a great guide. She was friendly. Only issue was the bus was super hot, the air conditioning was on I think, but it was not strong enough. It was stuffy, and, coupled with long bus rides and winding roads, it made the bus experience below average.

Excellent Trip very well Conducted by Ms Aaoe Suzuki. She took care personally for all travellers. The Bus was very comfortable. The Option of providing me and my family a veg lunch was very helpful. A must do trip to see a clear view of Mt Fuji and to visit Mt Hakone.
I request that in the details the last stop be mentioned as Odawara and not Nishinjuku. We had to make own arrangement to get back to city, alternately travellers no opting for Bullent train ride may be clubbed together.
