The Acropolis,which dominates the center of modern Athens,was the ancient city's most important and majestic sanctuary,dedicated primarily to its patron goddess,Athena.

Dionysus' Theater or Dionysus' Theater Elefthereos is the most important known open-air theater in ancient Athens and is regarded as the world's first theater.It was about 3 meters above the temple and was part of Elefthereos' sanctuary.Dionysos was the main venue for Attic drama because it hosted the Great Dionysia,Athens' largest theatrical festival.

The magnificent Odeon of Herodes Atticus was the final great structure constructed in antiquity in the Acropolis area.It was a typical Roman amphitheater from imperial times,with a capacity of at least 5,000 people.The monument was renovated in the 1950s and has since hosted cultural events, mostly in the context of the Athens Festival.

The Evzones execute the renowned "changing of guard" on Syntagma,in front of the Unknown Soldier monument,every hour.Two Evzones come in front of the monument of the Unknown Soldier to take the place of their colleagues.The Evzones who until then stood motionless guarding the monument,start an impressive gait by stretching their limbs which is a great spectacle.The same steps are followed by the Evzones who are going to replace them.When the show,which lasts about 15 minutes,is over,the Evzones stand still to guard the monument while their tired colleagues return to their barracks to rest.

Aristotelis was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his home took us off the beaten path to show us things way cooler than the big groups get to see. The vehicle was very comfortable and the driver made us feel very safe.

Our private tour was amazing, everything we hoped for and more! Our driver, Aristotle was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable, professional and extremely personable. He provided exceptional service with lots of special touches throughout our day. We will definitely use him again on our next visit to Athens!

Excellent tour with smart personable driver Panos. Nice car with AC .All tickets were prepurchased. I got bad info from Viator and bought most of the tickets before . So I wasted money on this. Enjoy the tour and let the driver get the tickets for the right time. 60Euro for two. Superb lunch down by the water. Panos very flexible about when to eat and where to eat.
Highly rec Panos as driver +30 690 650 6762 .Don't by the tickets before!!

This was an excellent tour, our driver and guide Aristotle made it memorable. He was punctual, and got us to the sights at times to avoid the peak crowds. Adding to that hos knowledge of history and the city, and the flexibility to make adjustments to our plans based on what we wanted, our expectations were exceeded for this private tour.

The Athens Full Day private tour was an excellent decision. There were 10 adults in our group and we were able to tailor our very short visit to Athens to meet our needs. Nasos was the best tour guide, historian, philosopher, photographer, food critic, wine connoisseur and so much more. He took care of all logistics, including skip the line tickets to all the major sites. You can tell he loves what he does, and takes pride of what Greece has contributed to the world, both past and present. Vladimiros, our driver, was the silent side kick, beautifully maneuvered the streets of Athens to avoid traffic. The van itself was spacious, clean and air conditioning a blessing in the summer heat, and we were provided endless cold water to keep us hydrated. The food in Athens when we stopped for lunch was one of the best seafood experience we have ever had. Athens was easily one of the highlights of our European trip (we visited Barcelona, Venice, Ravenna, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens and Croatia). Thank you, Nasos and Vladimiros, for making our very short visit to Athens so memorable!!

I highly recommend this travel agency. We took Athens Full Day Private Tour (Pickup @ Airport)
Their customer service before the tour is very good. I emailed questions weeks before and received replies right away.
Aris texted us he was at the airport waiting for us then called saying he was right outside baggage claims holding a sign.
The company purchased tickets for attractions so we would not have to wait in line. Aris took us to all the attractions that were advertised on their website. As we drove to each place Aris talked about the history of the Greek neighbor hoods and the history of each place of interest.
In the middle of the afternoon we asked Aris to recommend a restaurant Kappari-Petralona.
It is in a great location family owned good food at good prices.
I was completely impressed with Aris professionalism, knowledge and customer service.
Ask for Aris at Xenon Travel he is an asset for the Company.

Nasos was amazing! We visited all of the sites mentioned, and he personalized the tour based on our interests. He gave fun, interesting facts and even recommended where to get souvenirs. We could not have asked for a better experience!
