Amazing experience with Sean. I am a chocolatier and never had the opportunity to visit a real cocoa farm. Made my whole week

I wish we could have opened and tasted a pod right off the tree but they were not ready.

Awesome trip. A lot of fun learning about how chocolate grows. If you can, also take the factory tour.

We loved hearing about the process and seeing the farm. Our guide was great! The price of the tour was very expensive for what was included. We toured and saw the farm process and tasted some chocolates.

We went on the farm tour and tasting during our visit to Maui. Sean was our guide and he was training a new guide named Riley. Sean did most of the tour and Riley did some of it. Both did an excellent job. Sean was a good trainer too as he helped Riley when needed, but stepped back to give Riley a chance to show his skills. We learned about the cacao harvesting process from Riley and Sean did the tasting part of the tour. Sean also educated us on where the cacao in the Kuia estate chocolates are sourced from and he gave us a glimpse into the different issues of the cacao industry. We appreciated that he took the time to answer all our questions. We were pleasantly surprised at all the different kinds of chocolates we got to taste in the cute treehouse on the farm. The fruit infused chocolates were our favorites, especially the calamasi lime one! Highly recommend this tour. Great learning and tasting experience!

My husband and I enjoyed our tour of Maui Ku'ia Estates with our guide Shawn (who was fun, informative and an overall great guide). We found the tour to be informative regarding the growing and harvesting cacao in a dry island location. Shawn explained how they use local products to make the very best products and also source cacao beans from other countries through fair trade. All products made and sold by Ku'ia Estates are labeled to identify where the ingredients were sourced. Ku'ia is considered a non-profit (net) organization. The chocolate is some of the best we have ever eaten!! The Calamansi lime flavor is our favorite!!

Our tour guide was amazing! This tour was highly informative and low impact for seniors as well. Our guide was homorous, generous with information about many aspects of the chocolate growing and harvesting process, and he even accommodated for our group’s mobility limitations. We loved the tour and highly recommend.
