Jabal Akhdar is known for its unique pomegranate and roses. Pomegranate from here is considered the best in the world for its quality and nutrition.
Spring is the best time to visit Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountain) when the terrace plantations are lush and vibrant and the roses are in bloom. This is one of the highest points in Oman and gives sweet relief from the heat as temperatures start to soar into the 30Cs.

We had booked a three 4WD vehicle for my team work to go to the places of Jebel Shams or they called “The Grand Canyon of Oman”. We stayed overnight at Jebel Shams Resort, and we also booked a room for our three drivers, as we also need to be back at Muscat the day after. Our guides were very helpful. Highly recommend.

I love the view, its so tiring to get up but all worth it once you reach the top! Also the bonding upon going up is memorable that you wanted to keep and wishing to come back.
