I booked their advance return ticket and upon wanting to board my train I realised that I had accidentally mixed up the travel directions. I explained it to the staff on the ground in Paddington but HE is giving NO REFUND whatsoever on their advance tickets. I didn't use those tickets, I had to repurchase new tickets and now paid in fact twice. I am surely not the only person making this simple mistake. Wrote to customer service twice, received no understanding. Their service is really expensive to begin with and then on top of that they make it their policy to rip people off. Never again.

You can go cheaper and put up with multiple stops and cars stuffed with a million fellow travelers, or you can pay a little more and enjoy a fast, civilized ride between Heathrow and Paddington with the clean, efficient Heathrow Express. If boarding at Paddington, watch out for the Elizabeth Line, which has also chosen the color purple but is NOT at all the equivalent. Read the boards carefully and look for "HEATHROW EXPRESS" to enjoy a superior experience. Spend the money on yourself now; this is why you earned it.

If you are less than 3 people, and you get the discounted rate online 90 days prior (15 pounds per person) and you need to arrive in central London within a few miles of Paddington station, this may be a cost-effective/time saving option. Our hotel was near Buckingham palace. This worked for us (2 people) with one 20 inch suitcase per person. We did not want to deal with taxi or Uber (driving) from Heathrow to hotel and risk of traffic issues. After terminal 3 luggage pick-up, it was a long walk (8 mins) from Heathrow baggage to the train. You MUST use an elevator to reach the train level. Our elevators were crowded. Train was 15 mins to Paddington. Taxi from Paddington to hotel was 13 pounds plus tip (very crowded streets/slow rolling). Another option is the Elizabeth line from Heathrow to Paddington (and beyond). Research the tube fares/zones x number of people to decide if better deal for you. This tube train shares same platform as Heathrow Express. Warning: It takes longer and has NO luggage storing shelfs, and the trains were crowded when we we waiting for Heathrow Express (these were 40% full).

This is extremely comfortable and easy. We booked tickets 4 or 5 months in advance and it was cheaper for the four of us. Trains are easy to find and you are at Paddington in 15 minutes. We took the train back also.

I always go straight to the Heathrow Express when I get off the plane at LHR- there is no quicker or more convenient way into the city. Easy to get off the train, turn left and get a taxi to anywhere in London. Highly recommend.

I have used this express train twice. The first time the train had a technical issue and it took an extra 30 minutes to get to paddington. I was promised a refund that never came. The second time the there was a RED light according to the train staff and we just say at Heathrow for a crazy long time. It's faster to take the regular tube

This is not an express when you are stuck on the track no moving for over 30 minutes due to congestion. We had a view of rubbish and construction while stopped. A major waste of time and money.

Bought business first class but nobody checks at paddington and let people board the same place making it unfair for those not in business that do not get a business seat and for those that paid more too. Terrible
