Going into this tour, I wasn't sure how campy it would be and, for this reason, whether my husband would enjoy it. We both came away having had a blast. Honestly, the tour is much more history than ghost, and that was just fine for us. There are no hokey jump scares or other gimmicks. Just great, theatrical story-telling done largely by candlelight. Our tour guide was Steve and it was hard to believe he'd only been a guide for a couple of years - he was perfect. Highly recommend - it's a fun way to spend 90 minutes one evening in Edinburgh.

Brilliant experience and something different from the norm. Our tour guide was Michael who was great. His theatrics really brought the tour to life and he told us some great stories during the tour. Highly recommend.

Neave was a very good storyteller with lots of enthusiasm and expression. She kept the tour interesting. Guinness would have been better than an IPA. Just better beer choices. Headphones were great! Loved that she said nothing for dramatic effect down the stairs. Neave was fantastic!!

I think all of the ghost tours are corny, and this was no exception, but it was an entertaining way to get into the vaults that we'd heard so much about.

All of the ghost tours into the vaults appear to be quite corney, but we enjoyed getting into the vaults that we've read so much about. Could have spent less time above ground and more in the vaults, but overall an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.
