ATV Tour to Moray & Maras Salt Mines the Sacred Valley from Cusco

This experience was fun and definitely something worth checking out if you are an ATV rider/ adventure seeker, but a few things to note that could have made our experience much better:
-Helmets appeared wet/dirty inside from previous rides (maybe washable head covers could be offered?) if not I recommend bringing your own.
-Transportation drives extremely fast over bumps, I have done several excursions where I did not experience the back of the van catching air lol.

We had an amazing experience on the ATV Tour to Moray and tour of the salt mines. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture. Additionally, he was very creative and helpful in taking fantastic videos and photos. Great memories! High recommended!

Honestly, I'm struggling with how to review this excursion. We had a great time on the ATVs, but I'm sharing to let people aware of some of the not so great elements of this trip.

We were never given advance information to decide if we wanted to do something or skip out on parts. It felt very rushed from mile stone to milestone and I spent less money on other excursions and saw/experienced more or got more value.

We got to the ATV camp late so we were in a rush. we were told there would be practice runs to gauge the situation and comfort level riding alone and we completely skipped. We were told after we paid 70 soles($20) for Moray that we had 20 mins to walk around, take pics, go to bathroom, or snack. Didn't get any quality information and had I known this was it I would have stayed by ATVs and not paid.

Before going to Maras we raced to a store at top of hill where the employees were upset with tour guide we were late and we were given 5 mins to buy stuff. only to find out the same stuff was available at Maras salt mines for half the price. so we didn't;t even need to go here, it was just a money making play.

When we got to Maras salt mines it was near sundown. we were taken down to picture area. took pics for 10 mins and then were rushed back to the van to leave. No real story, explanation or guidance on history or anything like that.

The excursion was 7 hours and we were not provided and food or snack nor did we have an opportunity to buy on our own, so left very hungry.

I would recommend as an activity, just know what you are signing yourself up for here.

ATV was fun and the attractions are good. However it took an hour to pick up people, could be more efficient

It was a good tour. I believe the tour guides could have interacted a bit more with the group and explained things a little more. I did not like the fact that my dad asked if we could take pictures on the ATVs and one of the tour guides said “if we have time”. Well we didn’t stop to take pictures on the ATVs and went straight to where we had to park them. He took a video of us but we wanted pictures like everyone else did. I think it was unprofessional that one of them fell asleep in the van on our way back to dropping us off.

The tour was great. The Wilson guide made all the difference, we highly recommend it. The quad bike ride lasted around an hour in total, with beautiful landscapes, but the clothes get very dirty from the dirt it stirs up.
The only negative point was that it was a little late getting to the hotel, we called the agency and they told us that we didn't have a reservation. In the end everything worked out, but at the time it was very distressing.

Américo was a great host, very passionate about his culture, and every second of the tour showed his love of country and history. He was very patient and knew all the best picture spots.

Along our tour route, we came across National Geographic tour hosts, and I was able to overhear the conversation they were having. Same exact information at a fraction of the cost. Great value!

Sandro our guide was great, he was thorough and nice. The ATV rides are a must, definitely my favorite part!

Take this 100% over the public atv tours! Our guide Eduardo was amazing, he took great photos of us. Best experience!
