The Lion & Safari Park is a 30-45-minute drive from Johannesburg, located in the historic Cradle of Humankind. It was the best tour I've ever done in my life! As a big fan of animals, it was an amazing experience to see all of the top 5. It was worthwhile, once in a life time!

MoAfrika did the transfer very well and the guide Sello was very helpful, explaining many things for us.
But we went to Lion Park just because we did 3 days of Safaris (night, full day and morning Safari) at Kruger National Park and we didn't see any cats, se we decided to go to Lion Park to see Lions and Leopards. It was a good experience, but it was very different to see the animals in your natural habitat, because they are caged like a zoo.
If you had the chance to see these animals in a real Safari, you must not go to Lion Park.

Book this as I had some unexpected time of from work on Sunday and I enjoy it quite a bit. Great tour if you want to quickly spot some animals from very close by Keep in mind that it's not a open safari and the animals are kept in enclosures wich is a bit sad sometimes. The first part of the park is also really crowded with private vehicles wich does ruin the view sometimes.
The guide we got was also great. He's hilarious and know quite a bit about the animals.
The guy that picked me up was also great (Called Sillo) very knowledgeable about the area wich made for a nice drive to the park.
I also recommend to do this in the afternoon during winter as you get a really nice sunset as a bonus.

Excellent tour, got to see the wildlife close up including the lions, wild dogs, hyenas, leopards, giraffe etc and toir guide was knowledgeable and funny.

My Pilanesberg tour was Awesome!!! Our guide Petronas?? I think that was his name was great..!! He really took time to drive us around to find the animals that we are looking for...the only draw back was not seing the Lion! But i did the Lion Park Tour the following day..and really happy about it too!!..We were able to see Giraffes crossing infront of us and the Leopard just a few meters away..and the elephant!! Up close and personal...will recommend this for sure to anyone..

I’ve had a combination of Lion and Safari and Cradle of Humankind. Guide was very friendly and professional, all was taken care of. Lion and Safari - good place to see lions and giraffes from very close distance.

Wonderful experience-beautiful reception area with restaurants. The guide and 2hour safari was fun and informative. We wanted to warm up our cameras and lenses for our extensive journey through Namibia & Botswana… the lions were very close and the guide was helpful in explaining animal behaviors and characteristics…
