It is an exciting world below the surface. Passengers of all ages get the chance to explore the magnificent Mediterranean marine life, observe loads of more than 12 species of fish and possibly sea turtles and hear interesting information about underwater life in 5 languages and spend 1.25 hours below and above the waves with fun, but educationally too.

This is a fun way to spend 90 minutes. The first hour is spent in the hull of the ship, which is made of clear, reinforced glass to allow passengers to view the sea life. The final 30 minutes is spent above deck, with a tour of the coastline of Agios Nikolaos.
In the hull, it’s best to be seated on the outside of the ship, rather than on the inside because half of the view from the inside is obscured by another part of the vessel. Boards inside the viewing area list dozens of sea creatures to potentially be seen but on the day my partner and I went, all we saw were sea bream, barracuda and countless of a small fish I was unable to identify from the board. Despite this, I wasn’t disappointed because it was cool to be able to see what is lurking underneath the water and observing the shoals of fish swimming in their natural environment is mesmerising. The tour above deck points out several hotels on the coastline and a plush white villa built into the rock, which was the setting for scenes in famous 1969 Greek film The Fairy and the Lad. Recorded messages play over a speaker to provide information about what you are seeing, and drinks and snacks can be purchased from a vending machine on board.

the people were very nice, the voice-over was fine, the seating comfortable. only one side of the sub looks like this photo, the side with the pictures above had windows blocked by the other side of the boat. we saw 3 schools of fish and some barracuda, but nothing too exciting; my teens were bored and so were the toddlers on board. It was a peaceful experience and not hot inside the sub. the view from the top along the coast going back was beautiful. Overall was an average trip, visiting an aquarium might have been better for viewing sea life. We drove ourselves there, if we had taken a bus I would have been pretty disappointed for a higher price.

We went on the semi-submarine and were pleasantly surprised how good this trip was. The staff were really friendly and very informative. The trip last about 1/12 hours with the first hour underwater seeing all sorts of fish. There was lots of information given on the types of fish we might see with a picture on the wall showing all the fish and names. It was really pretty seeing everything underwater. The last 1/2 hour is up on deck seeing the coastline and some of the history of the island of Crete. Would recommend this trip!!

Everything was as described here. The staff was very friendly and the team tried very hard to ensure that there was a lot on offer. For the price, the tour was definitely worth it.
The snacks/drinks on board were also reasonably priced.
The ship is clean and well-maintained.
There are also toilets.
Today we had strong wind, which was hardly noticeable on the boat. No one got seasick.
A clear recommendation.

The trip was very amazing, but then also giving 3 stars because the view from the other side was not good as I and others were have to turn to see the fish. Need to do something for this. Apart from this everything was really good.

Trip together was about 1h 25min, they stop a lot and feed fish so you can see them very close. Also staff was nice and helped us to get on with stroller.

Waste of money in my opinion. Trip was advertised as 1 hour 25 minutes and only about 10-15 minutes was spent actually letting us look at the sea life, which was the whole point of the trip. At 16 euros per person it’s not overly expensive but you could spend your money better elsewhere.

Very nice trip, because of the special bottom of the boat and the clear water you can see the underwater life, they occasionally throw food into the water to attract the fish, which is nice, but they are often the same fish, how Regardless, it is a fun experience, and explanations are given about what you see. The second part of the trip is upper deck, where you sail along the coastline.

I deducted a star only because I felt the experience could have been better if the guys had sailed us out to the site first before letting people downstairs to the underwater viewing area. By the time we got there and went around the site, it was too long for most children and they all were crying. It made for a rather unpleasant trip for everyone else. Thank goodness the second part of the journey as it was back on top deck and everyone was happy.
