Lake Balaton is the essence of Hungarian rural beauty. Hungary's version of Provance.
You will enjoy stunning views, tiny villages with century-old whitewashed houses, and amazing formations of nature.
We will pass the beautifully renovated Abbey of Tihany,
which was founded 1000 years ago. For 7 euros per person we can look at the fancy baroque interior.
The tour is filled with beauties, interesting history and (if you opt in by sending us a message) very good wine!
The views, the great gastronomy, the fresh wines, the charm of the villages and the historical and architectural heritage of the region are all good reasons to make a trip here.

Relaxing day in the charming Lake Balaton region. Our guide was informative and fun to be with and the area was so picturesque. The lunch was delicious and the ferry ride also a treat.

The best thing about the trek to Balaton was the beautiful lake and charming hamlets around it, but Attila was a close second. I asked all manner of odd questions and he fielded them all in a deeply informed while comically entertaining fashion. Thanks again for offering us your time and talent. Anyone wanting a more than common experience in Hungary should seriously entertain thoughts of Attila hosting, transporting, guiding, and all else ASAP!

This was a wonderful tour and our guide was ready to provide us loads of history of Hungary and the area we saw driving to Lake Balaton. Had time to stop for coffee and lunch in the Balaton area. The Lake was very calm and just beautiful.
You will not be disappointed with this trip and your guide.

We loved our trip into the Hungarian countryside. Our guide drove us in his splendid Lincoln Continental. We stopped at a beautiful restaurant for lunch - Echo in Tihany. It reminded me of the lunch we had many years ago in Bellagio. We also visited the beautiful Benedictine abbey in Tihany.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip through the countryside to Lake Balaton, lunch at a wonderful local restaurant, and the ferry ride to the other side. Atilla, our private guide, was the best! Very informative, very flexible, and a great sense of humor. Don't pass up the chance to do this trip. It was well worth it!

We had a great day traveling through the country side, walking through the village of Tihany and the Abbey in Tihany. The Lake Balaton views were amazing and ferry ride was fun. The side visit of the Tagore Promenades was interesting. Attila, our tour guide, was entertaining, knowledgeable, and was well spoken in English.

As mentioned, it’s a truly personal half day trip to the beautiful lake Balaton. My Guide Mr Attila was punctual and very knowledgeable about the region and willing to learn new things too. The one hour drive felt like it was only minutes. I really enjoyed the Tagore avenue and we had a small boating in an electric swan among sail boats (there was a sail boat competition going on which was an added bonus and we could have watch a horse cart riding competition too!). We also enjoyed some lavender picking and got some awesome photographs to cherish. Highly recommended
