Wonderful trip!

Car picked me up from right outside my Airbnb and the driver even helped me get my luggage down 3 flights of stairs. It was an hour drive to a boat that’s take me to Samaná: the boat ride lasted around 40 minutes. Romana was already waiting for me by the time I arrived and very kindly helped with my luggage. Since I was traveling solo, she spent the rest of the day with me. She first took me to a very tasty restaurant in town and then we made our way to the El Limón waterfall. In addition to keeping me company she was also so kind to take so many photos of me all day long, I’ve so many photos from that trip that I still haven’t even gone through them all. We then made our way back to the ranch where I took a nice hot shower and then went to sleep in the very peaceful abode that’s so completely surrounded with vegetation.

The next day we woke up, I was made a delicious omelette and banana marmalade toast for breakfast with freshly brewed coffee and orange juice. For this day Romana’s husband, Armando, drove me all the way to Playa Rincon. He was also very kind to take many photos of me throughout our time there. We even stopped by at a restaurant by the beach where he asked the owner to make me something new and it was very tasty. After this, he drove me all the way to my new Airbnb. Because I didn’t have a ride to the airport in Santo Domingo, he offered to drive me for a very reasonable fee, he dropped me off at the airport very early, helped me with my luggage and even stayed at the airport with me for a while.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The ranch is very beautiful and it’s very easy to see lol the effort that has gone into long the experience a beautiful one for guests. It’s definitely the type of experience someone should have at least once in their life, very recommended!

Wow Wow Wow! We had an exceptional wedding anniversary: we were picked up by the guide himself and the driver at our hotel with a beautiful car (be careful if you're at Riu Bambu for exemple, it's 2 hours drive until the boat) and we arrived at the public boat for a 45 min trip together with the guide and when we arrived, we were again picked up by a nice car: to reach the ecolodge, you may want to chose the truck option as it's kind of a hike, and when you arrive there it's amazing quiet and all well renovated, then you walk/climb to your tree house which is amazing and so romantic. Then we had a nice typical dominican lunch (included)we went to the waterfall and we advice to choose the donkeys transportation if you are not a hiker as it's quite of a trail going there. Enjoy a coconut or pineapple cocktail before walking to the waterfall and take some pictures before the busses tourists arrive otherwise go to the secret small waterfall, relax there as long as you want and take your pictures at the biggest one when the tourists left ;) Don't freak out: it's just that the Dr Fish treatment is included even if you don't ask haha. Enjoy your tree house and for the dinner you may choose to go with the 4WD quads along the beach and have dinner at the Raffaele Pizzeria if it's open, so delicious (not included). We spend a night hearing all the birds around, we woke up in a peaceful environment and enjoyed a very nice breakfast (tea/coffea/eggs/sausage/potatoes/bread/fruit) and went on the 4WD quads to visit the amazing beaches all around: we were all alone on the beaches Wow and we had a very nice lunch: several options available (all included). When you are ready to go back, the guide - who became a friend in the meantime- brings you back to the boat (he gives them again the money for our transportation) and the same taxi driver waits for us on the other side to bring us back to our hotel.
