Skip the entrance lines and climb to the top of Brunelleschi's Dome with an expert guide! Majestically dominating the city skyline, the terracotta dome of Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (or Florence Duomo, as it’s more commonly known) is easily Florence's most iconic attraction. Experience this masterpiece of architectural genius.

Please be aware that every 1st Tuesday of each month, the Cathedral Museum is closed and will be subsituted by a guided tour inside the Baptistry.

• Minimum age is 7 years. Children under 7 y.o. are not allowed. Children not included in the total number of people in the booking, will be denied access to the tour
• Good physical condition required
• Good walking shoes required - flip flops are not allowed
• Most catholic churches in Italy require a dress code in order to enter. For The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, you are requested to be covered from shoulders to knees (shoulders, chest, stomach and thighs must be all covered by clothing) It is permissible to wear shorts, provided that they are long enough to cover your thighs and knees. You are also permitted to wear tank tops or spaghetti strap dresses, but you will need to bring with you a garment (shawl, jacket, cardigan) that can cover all the exposed parts between your shoulders and knees when you enter the building. Thank you for your understanding and if please contact us if you require further clarification.
• The tickets included with your tour are valid for one-time entrance to every site of the Opera del Duomo complex (Museum, Bell Tower, Baptistery, Crypt). As part of the tour, you will enter the museum, private terraces and climb to the top of the dome. These sites will not be accessible a second time with the ticket that we provide. So, for example: If you wish to visit the museum again after the tour, you will need to independently purchase a new ticket. You can use the ticket provided to enter (one time per site) the remaining location: The Bell Tower, Baptistery and Cathedral Crypt. Post-tour the skip-the-line service is no longer guaranteed. Please show your ticket to the personnel at each site and they will indicate the first time slot available for you.

Florence turns into a zoo of tourists in summer. Skipping the line is the only way to visit the Duomo. And doing it with Eleonora (Nora), the tour guide, is definitely the way to go. Nora was extremely knowledgeable and provided some fascinating historical details about the Cathedral. After an instructive tour of the Museum (included), we began the main activity of climbing the 400+ steps to the top of Brunelleschi’s Dome. There were two breaks in between - one to exit to a private terrace with stunning views of the Tuscan hills, and the other was along a corridor just under the dome, which allowed us to admire the beautiful painting on the inside. The final destination at the summit was simply spectacular, with the 360 degree views of Florence and the surrounding hills. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great tour, Helen was a passionate and entertaining tour guide who made sure everyone was prepared for the climb. Given tickets to climb the dome were sold out for the next several weeks, this was a solid way to ensure we’d be able to see it.

One of the best tours we’ve taken on our trip. The Duomo skip the line access alone made it worthwhile, but the tour guide was also tough to beat. So knowledgeable and funny. We learned a ton - way more than we typically do wandering these sites by ourselves. Would highly recommend!

Our guide Bennedetta (Benne) was lovely. She started the tour on time, was very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable of Florentine history and the history of the Duomo. She took her time to explain important aspects that we should not miss. This was a wonderful experience and it is with it to skip the line!

Veronica our tour guide was a passionate local tour guide. Had a lovely warm smile and took great care of the whole group and individually kept us interested and motivated. Especially on many many steps to the top of the done. OMG the view was breath taking and V didn’t stop there showing us where she grew up and went to school and where all the ancient characters that built the cathedral and paid for it, lived, worked and trained. Inspiring and fun too. Thank you !!

Had so much fun…our tour guide Viola was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Can’t speak highly enough of her! The museum part was undersold…obviously it’s fun cutting the line and well worth it for the climb but I was very impressed by the amount of history in that small a building. And getting a lesson from someone who knows her stuff was great. 11/10 will be back!
