A fun day of driving through, and playing in, the tropical rainforest. See and possibly swim in waterfalls, explore lava tube caves, enjoy the black sand beach and more. Our tours are completely private and exclusive. It's just your group and your guide in one of our fully licensed and insured tour vehicles. You have the option throughout the day to "stay and play" or move on to the next spot. You also get to choose where to have lunch. In that way, you get to customize the day to your interests and abilities. Unlike the "big box" tours, our guides are active guides. They will accompany you into the waterfalls, if you want to swim, the caves, along the beaches etc. We teach the geology of the volcanic Islands themselves, the History of the Hawaiian People and the Flora and Fauna. This is a private, customizable experience.

3.
A beautiful little Hawaiian town growing Taro. Stroll the beautiful shoreline with amazing views and get local Banana Bread and treats at Aunty Sandy's or the Half Way to Hana shack. 4.
This state park has wonderful waterfalls for viewing or swimming and is a common restroom stop. This is an optional stop. We won't have time to stop at every place on this list. 5.
Ka'eleku cave is the largest Lava Tube on Maui and the 18th largest on Earth. It involves a 1/2 mile stroll, underground. It has amazing lava formations and is a great stop for the budding Geologist and also a great place to eat a picnic lunch. This is an optional stop. 6.
Experience the Black Sand beach, take a swim (conditions permitting) and explore the Lava Tube Cave. This is an optional stop. We won't have time to stop at every place on this list. 7.
Visit the quaint little Hawiian village of Hana. We usually eat lunch in Hana. You can bring a picnic lunch or choose one of the great options out in Hana town.

Enjoy the mixed sand beach of white, red and black sand. This is an optional stop. We won't have time to stop at every place on this list. You get to choose the stops that interest you and we will hit as many as we can (conditions permitting) in the time we have.
9.
Enjoy a beautiful white sand beach. A great spot for a swim (conditions permitting). This is an optional stop. We won't have time to stop at every place on this list. You get to choose the stops that interest you and we will hit as many as we can (conditions permitting) in the time we have.
10.
A beautiful 90 foot waterfall that we can photograph and, if you're up to it, take a nice swim (conditions permitting). This is an optional stop. 11.
View the world famous Seven Sacred Pools of Ohe'o Gulch. We do not stop here and enter the park. This is just a drive by with a view from the bridge. This is an optional stop. 12.
This quaint little church, built in 1856, is the burial site of Charles Lindbergh. This is an optional stop. We won't have time to stop at every place on this list. You get to choose the stops that interest you and we will hit as many as we can (conditions permitting) in the time we have.
13.

14.
Stop for a view of the newest lava flows on Maui. Learn about the splatter cones and the Haleakala Volcano from our knowledgeable guides. This is an optional stop. This tour lived up to our expectations and more. Our guide, Fiorella, was fantastic. She was personable, knowledgeable, and simply a pleasure to chat with. We made many very fun stops and she made a point to show us particularly beautiful scenery. We all loved every second of this private tour (3 of us). I was sad when it was over. I highly recommend this company for a private tour of the Road to Hana! Excellent! This will be one of the fondest memories of this trip for all of us.

This excursion was amazing! We couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Fiorella was our guide, and she was awesome! She was kind, knowledgeable, and knew all of the perfect spots for our family. This is the way to do Road to Hana! Ask for Fi as your guide- you won’t be disappointed! And the chocolate…so delicious😍

FI was our tour guide and she was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable about folklore, culture, environment, area and anything we questioned her about. Fi was lots of fun and very pleasant and an excellent driver. I would highly recommend this tour with Fi.

Our guide, Fi, was amazing. She was informative, interesting, helpful and made the ride so much fun! She stopped at all the usual places plus a few different stops. Hana Gold chocolate stop was delicious and so local!!! Private guide tour was so worth it. I recommend You have to stop it highly!!

My Road to Hana adventure with Maui’s Private Guide was outstanding. My driver and tour guide Fiorella was so full of information, and so friendly and helpful, that I was a little sad when our trip was over. She made sure I got to see everything I wanted, and picked a few fun places to stop and shop and eat. I walk with a cane, and she took great care of me. I think this was my favorite excursion since I arrived in Hawaii 10 days ago!

We had a lovely, fun-filled day with Fi. You can't stop everywhere, and Fi let us spend time at the sites we were most interested in while giving us a bit of everything else. We explored the lava tube, the black sand beach, and a small arboretum. We saw loads of waterfalls, gorgeous views, and a chocolate farm. Fi was friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions about history, the local flora and fauna, and Maui life. The route itself is breathtakingly gorgeous, and I'm glad we didn't have to drive it ourselves!

We were hesitant to drive the Road to Hana ourselves… boy, were we glad to have Fiorella with Maui’s Private Guide! Fiorella’s knowledge of the roads, local sights, and the island enabled us to sit back and truly enjoy our Road to Hana experience. Fi took us to the best sights along the road as well as some hidden, “off the beaten path” gems! We are so glad we chose Maui’s Private Guide for this experience and would recommend anyone to do the same!
