Rob was a wonderful guide during our Harry Potter and Horrible Histories tour! He was very engaging, lighthearted, and full of great jokes. My husband and I are big Harry Potter fans and we enjoyed hearing new facts and stories from the tour. Even though we went as a couple on our honeymoon, the tour is suitable for families and children too!

We absolutely loved Rob’s tour. He connected well with the group and kept us entertained with excellent Harry Potter stories sprinkled with some fun Edinburgh history and even puns for the dad joke lovers out there. It was just the right amount of time and just what we were hoping for. Highly recommend!

Rob was a fantastic guide with great stories and really connected with everyone in the group. I appreciated that even though it was a Harry Potter tour that it wasn’t gimmicky and included a fair dose of Edinburgh history as well. It was also just the right amount of time, even for our 14 year old daughter. Highly recommend!

Arno was our guide on this tour. I agree with the opinion where it is said that "his passion for the saga is contagious".
His enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject delighted my friends, including the neophyte of whom I was one.
The explanations given about the Harry Potter universe featured places in the city from which the author of this saga was inspired.
The Visit Quiz really pushes me to know more about this universe.

Rob is an excellent guide and this tour was definitely a favorite while in Edinburgh! The tour was unique and excellently paced. We enjoyed learning and seeing some of the inspiration for Harry Potter while learning more about J. K. Rowling’s writing process! Rob was full of great jokes and extra tips about the city.

If you’re deep into HP or just starting out, this tour is for you! (No age limitations either - our whole tour group consisted of adults!!)

I’m grateful for being able to join in this tour. It was really fun & insightful. We were just 7 in the group so it was like a private tour, which was amazing! Rob was very friendly and an excellent guide indeed - he explained the history of everything and how it relates to Harry Potter. He even shared a lot of non-HP interesting facts. Rob also took some of our photos as we go through the places. I never felt that I was a solo traveller because I enjoyed so much touring with them. It’s like I was with a family. I highly recommend this tour! 💯

I’d really recommend this tour. Rob was an excellent guide - really friendly and knowledgeable. I’m not a big Harry Potter fan (my daughter and husband are) but still found it highly enjoyable. There were plenty of other interesting facts and sights. He even took us to a couple of One Day locations. We would love to go on one of Rob’s trips outside of Edinburgh in future.

We did Rob’s Harry Potter walking tour and learned so much. He is personable and able to explain much history beyond Potter facts as well. We particularly enjoyed how he helped us see the Castle from various angles and his knowledge of the Haymarket. He is a top choice - especially if traveling with younger Potter fans. His patience and good humor would win over children who have had one too many moments of history- we saw several on other tours and felt sorry for all involved. He covered a lot of ground and information in two hours and also managed to fit in a quick coffee and donut stop - along with multiple recommendations. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a guide who could explain a bit of Edinburgh's history to me and show me the places where Harry Potter was created. Robert walked us around the city for about two hours, with just the right mix of history, interesting anecdotes and puns (puns). I couldn't ask for anything better, I would recommend it with my eyes closed! Obviously the tour is in English, but Robert has a clear accent and enunciates well. He told us details I wasn't aware of about Rowling's saga. The price per person of the tour is more than fair.
