This 3-hour Osaka Night Food Tour will take you on an unforgettable eating excursion through the busy streets and the hidden, less frequented parts of Minami (South) Osaka. Starting on the bright and busy Doutonburi area we will learn about Glico man, a Filipino sprinter named Fortunato Catalon who inspired a nation and a company! Similar to Shibuya (its counterpart in Tokyo) the lights and sounds of Dotounburi often lead you astray to overly-commercialized restaurants with queues of tourists outside. We want to take our guests to places they would certainly miss without a local’s guidance. We will take secret alleys not long after we begin the tour toward the shrine wedged out of sight from the average passerby.

We had a wonderful food tour with Sebastian! He is very knowledgeable and shared the history, significance, and stories about some of the sites along the way. Sebastian was very patient with our kids and interacted well with our family. The food was delicious! We would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Osaka!

This was a great experience, especially as a solo traveller. Arigato Tours were able to accommodate a pescatarian experience, which was appreciated, and our guide Sae was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgable. I learned a lot and ate some great food, wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

We can’t recommend this tour and specifically our guide Shasta enough! Great food and excellent company — Delicious and informative! We’re savvy travelers but would not have found the spots on this tour on our own. Shasta worked hard to be sure even our vegetarian had a great experience.

Cannot recommend this service enough. My wife and I used Arigato Travel for a food tour in Osaka. Our guide's name was Akiko and she made the entire time so much fun. Being local to Osaka, she knew all the history and inside information about the city and it made it muc more enjoyable having someone with so mucn pride for their city giving us a tour of the sites and the foods. The variety of food that was offered throughout the food tour was awesome and very different from each other and by the end, we definitely ate until we were ready to drop. It was such a friendly and awesome day and we would do it again! Highly recommend if your time in Osaka is short or if it is your first day there and you want recommendations for places to eat for the remainder of the time that you are there. Thank you Akiko!!

We had our tour with chi and she was fabulous. So much food we couldn’t eat it all. Excellent tour. She told us a bit of history and very interesting health benefits of lots of Japanese foods.

Our tour started late due to confusion about whether our tour mates had booked a private tour. There were no introductions, and very little tour/history/info was given throughout. There was mostly awkward silence as we followed our tour guide to different spots to eat. When our tour guide did talk he rarely communicated with the whole group which created logistical confusion. At the first takoyaki spot, there was not enough for everyone to try everything. At the subsequent spots, it was more of order whatever you want than a curated selection. The food itself was just ok in quality. We were not expecting this subpar experience because we did a tour with this same company in Tokyo and it was excellent. Seems like it's hit or miss depending on the tour guide and the food selection.

Great food tour around the street food places in Osaka! Our guide Junko was very knowledgeable about the area and showed us places we’d not have seen on our own. A fun evening and well recommended.
