As we wander in Shinjuku’s Golden Gai neighborhood you can explore an area known for being Tokyo’s most popular spot for unique izakaya, tiny bars, and pub-nightlife. A glimpse back to what Tokyo was like during the early and middle of the 20th century; Golden Gai venues are so densely packed you can almost be in two places at once (one foot in each). had a fabulous time on this tour with our awesome guide, ray, who taught us a lot and entertained us with his great stories, haikus and tips - would recommend this tour to everyone interested in great food, a greatime and learning more about japan and the shinjuku area!

I did 2 tours with Arigato last month. This was was in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Both were great. Everything really, the tour leader, food an stops. I did learn a lot from the guide. We went to places I would have missed if I was on my own. I especially liked the Omiode Yokocho

Great tour to experience Japanese Food at various places you would not find on your own.
Our guide Yuki did a great job guiding us through Shinjuku and provided so much interesting and valuable information.

I really enjoyed this gastronomic tour. Sandra, our tour guide, was amazing and explained to us the diversity of the street food in Shinjuku. She showed us many different hidden restaurants in Shinjuku, where I found my new favorite ramen in Japan. And we finished our tour in a tiny bar and played karaoke with local people.
