The penguin, seals and main aquarium was very cool. It was super crowded which was a little overwhelming, but overall my kids had a great time. The food at the cafe is okay. I would probably go somewhere else to eat next time.

Beautiful fish specimens and good layout. Pleasant experience, about two hours with moderate crowds. Warning -snack bar is overly expensive.

We were deciding between the Aquarium and the Science museum. I think we may have made the wrong choice. This is a pretty small aquarium and was extremely crowded on July 16th. For this size and quality aquarium the cost is quite high. Then on top of the admission parking for 3 hours was $46. Total was almost 2x what we paid for a river cruise in NYC a week ago.

We were parked for a total of 3 hr and 1 min. which was more than enough time to do the aquarium and the iMax movie. We completed the Aquarium itself in about 2 hr's. The last aquarium we went to was in Gatlinburg and we spent the same for entrance and over 5 hr's there for comparison.

I could not in good faith recommend this aquarium unless it is the first one you ever visited.

Just meh, honestly not really worth the $34 admission.
We love aquariums and expected more out of this one, but it was very small for the money.
The penguins were adorable and it was great to see the top of the big aquarium, but I honestly expected way more. It might be great for little kids, but we would not do it again.

This is a very disappointing aquarium. It was extremely overpriced and very underwhelming. We expected it to be crowded but not to be unable to move on ramps. There is very little to see and do and extremely limited viewing areas for exhibits. Not worth the money at all.

Nice place to visit for an hour or so. Went with 10 and 17 year old so it was nice, different from others we went to, extremely crowded but nice to get out of sun for bit. Was very hot out while we were there. I’m sure younger children will love it though. Advertised sharks but didn’t see any. But from Florida so we weren’t too disappointed!

The aquarium was small, and so crowded that it was really hard to appreciate it.

I'm sure that it's a nice aquarium, but due to the crowds we really didn't enjoy our experience. I might have enjoyed it more at a quieter time of year.

One of the main reasons we visited the aquarium was to see the great pacific octopus. I was disappointed to learn there was only one on view and the aquarium fid not conduct any visible enrichment activities for the octopus that everything was behind the scenes.

New England Aquarium is one of the larger aquariums with a great collection of marine life. We enjoyed 1h 45m including a penguin feeding. It is mostly indoors. You enter and immediately see a very large open Penguin Colony exhibit made of rocks and water with over 50 African and Southern Rockhopper penguins – no plexiglass. The building has 4 levels so you can walk up the continuous outer walkway with minimal stairs and then walk down the inner circular ramp along side the gigantic center tank full. More than hourly presentations and feedings – check the schedule. Buy tickets in advance as they do sell out!
