This is an all-inclusive tour of Maleny, Montville and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with award winning Joel's Journeys Noosa, Queensland and Australia Top Tour Guide winner. This shared tour will operate with a minimum of 3 adults.

Escape to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland for the day on our Maleny and Montville Tour with the unique Montville Artisan Village, lunch, wine tasting, chocolate tasting, guided old-growth rainforest walk, waterfall, and panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains and Sunshine Coast. By the days end you will have looked out at the entire Sunshine Coast coastline from Noosa to Caloundra, around to the Glass House Mountains, and on a clear day, Moreton Island.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. {
Our first stop is at the top of Mapleton Falls for tea and coffee compliments of Joel's Journeys. This location offers incredible views looking over the Obi Obi Valley and subtropical rainforest all around.
2. {
A lovely ridgeline drive atop the Blackall Range will then land us in Montville Artisan Village, the prettiest and most unique little village on the hinterland. You will begin your Montville experience by indulging in some of the finest artisan Belgian chocolates in the region with a chocolate tasting included at Montville's favourite chocolate factory. You will have over an hour to explore the wonderful Montville Artisan Village and its many novelty shops, galleries and artisan delights.

Next, a ridgeline drive will take us to a panoramic lookout with views of the entire Sunshine Coast coastline, from Noosa to Caloundra and as far as Moreton Island on a clear day.
4. {
We then journey further along the ridgeline to the Maleny region where we will take you on a guided nature walk through a mesmerising remnant old-growth rainforest with giant native trees, many singing birds, pademelons (wallabies) and more. This walk is 1.2km and relatively flat. For those who don't feel comfortable doing this walk, you can joyfully spend your time at the entrance, where there is a discovery centre and cafe with views of the Glass House Mountains.

Following our nature walk we take a short drive to another panoramic lookout where you will experience one of the most stunning and photographed views in Australia, with unimpeded views of the picturesque Glass House Mountains.

We will then go to a charming hinterland cottage cafe for your included lunch and drink. Attached to this cafe is shop filled with local produce, art and crafts.
7. {
A drive through the Maleny village and back along the ridgeline will get us to our last stop, where you can reflect on this amazing day as you participate in a mountain top wine tasting with ocean views at the local’s favourite winery and vineyard. After the wine tasting you can then recline your seats and enjoy the journey back down the mountain in comfort, and we will have you back to your accommodation no later than approximately 5:30pm, in time for sunset and dinner.

I came for a girls weekend with my cousins and we had a fantastic time! The tour was a great variety and it was really well paced, we didn't get tired or bored at any point. Joel was knowledgeable and friendly and I will happily book another tour next time I'm on the sunshine coast.

Thanks Joel for a fantastic day! Your communication before the tour was spot on and the trip was spectacular. Highlights included the waterfalls, Monteville and the breathtaking old growth forest. As three Western Australian couples we got to see landscapes that we just don't have back west. Highly recommended day trip.

The tour was packed with experiences, yet was relaxed. Joel was able to tailor the tour to our familiy’s interests in nature and history. We enjoyed scenic views, good food, and wildlife sightings including a platypus! Joel was prompt, knowledgeable, and funny. Would definitely use again!

We made a last minute booking with Joel's Journeys for Hinterland tour and chocolate and wine tasting.
This was an amazing tour, beautiful countryside, amazing views of waterfall, mountains and walk through the forest.
Joel made our trip a memorable one, with his pleasant personality, knowledge of nature and patience. Would love to book other tours with him if I am back in Noosa in future

We highly recommend Joel’s Journey and the Maleny/Montville tour. Joel is very knowledgeable, and makes the day a truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. All stops were beautiful and the coffee, chocolates, lunch and wine were delicious.

This trip was absolutely amazing, the places we visited were all very different, Monville was lovely, the chocolate factory, winery, walk in for the forest very special. Joel what a really lovely person, explained everything where we visited, has a great personality and a sense of humor. We would recommend this trip to anyone and Joel the tour guide. Thank you heaps.
