What an excellent tour. A perfect number of three of us, led by the very knowledgeable and friendly Barbara, enjoyed a variety of great food and wines while chatting to market traders and visiting bars and cafes. We all got on so well it was like a group of friends going out. Absolutely recommend this tour... but don't eat a lot before you go 😀

Ana was the best guide! The tour was lovely and delicious. You will meet bedrocks of the food community in Porto and try ALL of the traditional pastries and food. No visit to a country is complete without a tour of their food and wine. This was super fun!

Unfortunately, the tour didn't take place because I was the only one there. I was only informed 12 hours in advance.
Fortunately, I was able to spontaneously go on a great, interesting food tour through Porto with The Walking Parrot Porto Tours, even as the only one.

A very good tour. Our guide Barbara was excellent. We were very lucy with the group size, only 4 of us. The trip around the market was good and the tastings were of a good standard. The walking from place to place was fairly easy and at a reasonable pace. Barbara pointed out places and things of interest and her colleges kept appearing with more things to try. We were taken to a bar and the food and wine we tried there was good, in fact we went back at a later date.
This was our first time in Porto and the tour was a good starting point.
It was also good to touch on the social and historic side of Porto.
I would recommend this tour.

Barbara was excellent. Too much to eat & drink - shouldn't complain though. Stayed in market but also went to a local restaurant & cafes.

This tour was so good - starting in the market, hearing about many local and regional dishes, their origins and Portuguese eating habits and loves. After some tastings of both dishes and vino verde, we moved onto a number of other locations, where the locals go (!) with more tastings and information. Barbara was lovely, happy to answer all our (many!) questions and we had the added benefit of her historical knowledge of Portugal and the places we visited.

The tour was great, Alex did a good job even though it rained most of the tour! The best part was all the great recommendations from Alex from restaurants, things to do and see, day trips, etc.

Maria was absolutely amazing ! So much love and passion for her city !!! She was super friendly and really made it an experience. Knows her history and loves to chat and recommend all the hot spots ! Would highly recommend !
