From start to finish, this tour was so well organized. Our tour guide, Victor, met with us at our hotel the night before to brief us on the hike, run through train times and our tickets, and ensure we were prepared for the coming two days.

We were picked up from our hotel in an extremely comfortable vehicle and driven to Ollantaytambo where we boarded the train toward Macchu Picchu. Disembarking at KM 104, we started our hike - and what an experience it was! Victor was so knowledgeable about the history of the Incas, the architecture, and the surrounding landscape and fauna. We hiked through and saw multiple Inca sites including Chachabamba and Wiñay Wayna, before arriving at Macchu Picchu in the afternoon. It made our trip to Machu Picchu even more rewarding, seeing it from the Sun Gate for the first time.

We then spent the night in Aguas Calientes at a nice hotel organized by FLY CUSCO and had dinner with our tour guide in a lovely restaurant. The following day, we went to Machu Picchu for sunrise - another incredible experience - and missed all of the tourists. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! Victor, again, was incredibly knowledgeable and I felt like I appreciated it far more because of this - and he took some incredible photos and videos of us too!

We then had plenty of time to enjoy the town of Aguas Calientes before heading back to our hotel in the Sacred Valley.
