We booked this tour with the thought that we would get a guided tour of the islands. Or at minimum, a basic transport to the Princess islands. Here was our experience
We got a text the night before saying we would be picked up between 0845 and 9.
So we went to the lobby at 0840, and waited and waited. 10 minutes after 9 I get a text saying to walk to the tram (which I have no idea where it is). So I get some instructions and look. I still can’t find it. After 5 minutes I get a call and am told to hurry since we are late.
Finally at about 930, after 3 calls, 2 texts and the driver sending me their location. We arrive at the bus.
Simple no frills, no issues. Works perfect we get to the boat and we are under way.
As we depart a gentleman is walking around trying to get you to take pictures with his macaw (for a fee), another one is trying to get you to dress like a sultan (for a fee). While I don’t enjoy this, I don’t mind it as some people like this and the camera man was very friendly, but if this is something that bothers you beware.
We went to the first island and to be honest, you really don’t need to get off the boat. Not much there and felt like a waste of time.
The next island was finally worth it. Lovely, markets etc. great time but beware the too guide told us to be back by 245, we arrived early at 215 and at 230 the boat pulled away!!! Don’t know if this was a communication error or what but be aware.
Finally and the real reason for the low review, was we land back on the main land. It’s 4pm and the tour lasts until 5. I thought it was ending early which was no issue, but instead we are told we are going to a fashion show before we can go home.
Then we are walked to a smalls shop basement to see a fashion show of 3 people wearing today’s latest whatever. And guess what, today only we could get 50% off the market price! Wow….. after sitting through that for 20 minutes we walk up to the shop to see jackets that are (with the discount) $600…
To sum up the tour was simple, and a bit frustrating and we got to where we were going. However, we got a few hard sells and feels like a lot since your here you should consider buying this and that etc.
To be honest if push came to shove, I would do this tour again but would much much rather just use a basic ferry service to get to the island rather then the whole situation.

I took the Princess Islands Tour and it was definitely an unforgettable experience! The tour was offered as an all-inclusive package and included ferry tickets, lunch and a guided tour of the islands.
The ferry ride was very enjoyable. We started the tour by visiting Büyükada, Heybeliada and Burgazada. Each island had its own unique character. We rented bicycles in Büyükada and explored the island.

In winter time it is not very interesting, and i think it isover rated. I had to walk for 20 minutes, i stopped for lunch, then had to take their bus for a tour, he took us upthere, and abandoned us, had to walk down for 45 minutes, besides almost 2 hours by ferry to get back to istanbul.

The tour starts in Büyükada. Büyükada is the largest island in Istanbul and has a lively atmosphere. Here, you can visit local markets, see luxury hotels and visit the historical Hagia Yorgi Church. For lunch, we ate local cuisine at one of the most popular restaurants on Büyükada. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The tour ended in Büyükada. This tour is a must-see for anyone visiting Istanbul.

Not worth the time at all. Nothing to see there. The tour guide was a super nice person. But the whole tour is not just worth your time. One day waisted.

Princess Island is stunningly gorgeous. We loved everything about this tour. Our guide is very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. He was sensitive to our needs and responded to our requests in a very professional way.

It is boring and not worth the trip. The Island is unimpresive there is nothing to see there and the lunch is average at best. On the car ride on the island you dont see anything interesting. I do not recommend it.

The trip to and fro the island was enjoyable.The car tour would have been much better if is slower.There is little to do in the island.It is not easy to walk around on steep streets.The “compulsary “menu was poor.

A waste of money! We paid almost £40 each for a trip that basically costed one third of this money. If I had known this in advance, I would have just travelled myself. Its vey easy and cheap to get there and around the island, you don’t need a tour especially a terrible one like this!
One of my huge disappointments was the restaurant. We travelled all the way to this island to enjoy the view of the sea and there were very good restaurants to choose from beside the sea with beautiful views of the sea. But we were taken to a lower-than-average terrible looking restaurant. If I had known, I would have travelled myself to spend the £25 extra pounds I paid to this tour on a good restaurant by the sea.
Furthermore, there was no tour guide with us on specifically on the electric car, so we all got off by mistake at the church and then one person had to call the tour guide to arrange for another car.
At the end of the tour, we were forced us to go to a leather shop and waste 30 minutes there. We were not given any option to refuse. If we wanted to be dropped off at our hotels, we had to go there otherwise, our only option would have been to get a taxi back to the hotel.

A nice day spent away from Istanbul, well organized & planned. 1.5 hour of ferry ride was good and relaxing both sides. The lunch inclusive was decent quality. The electric car ride which was inclusive on island was nice too. Suleiman our tour guide was really the one who made tour go well
