The experience of the 9th ward and Katrina. Stories of losing family and loved ones were sad and horrific. We were given a history lesson on every street. Segregation of the schools in New Orleans and the rebuilding of New Orleans after Katrina.

It was ok. The guide Jay seemed very knowledgeable and friendly but I think I misunderstood the tour. I thought we would get off the bus more.... we only got off once and the second stop was just to go to a step at the school. The Be studio was cool but that was about it. We just drove around on the bus for a couple hours amd watched Youtube videos on the screen. My best friend fell asleep for most of it. Some cool info was given but I wouldnt recommend this tour.

This is a must do tour if you want authentic perspectives on New Orleans history. We have gone on this tour twice and each time have gotten a little more out of it. The stories, the traditions, and love is felt as you travel through the various areas of the past. It’s worth every penny.

We greatly enjoyed taking this small group tour and exploring the African American and Creole neighborhoods. Learning about their rich history was fascinating. Visiting the Lower Ninth Ward and witnessing the ongoing impact of Hurricane Katrina highlighted the long-term economic inequities. Studio Be, a unique art gallery, was another memorable stop on the tour. We couldn't have had a more knowledgeable and passionate tour guide.

Our guide, Jey, gives a great narrative about NOLA culture from the African American perspective and he is a native as well and gave great insight from local perspective. Tour is entertaining and gives audiovisual presentations on board the bus as you cruise around the city. Enjoyed the ride!
