This was an amazing experience. It starts with pick up from the cruise port which was wonderful and easy to find, they also drop you back off to the cruise port afterwards. The guides take you through the jungle to a small town where you can try the local drink and buy some items if you want. Any items you buy and held by the guides so that you do not have to worry about them becoming muddy. The guides also take you to a small local beach where you can rinse off some of the mud. The whole experience was ~3 hours total so you have time to also explore the town in Puerto Plata. This was so much fun, you can really get muddy if you want too like we did or take it slow like some of the other families did. If you plan to get muddy bring a change of clothes, there is are showers and changing rooms at the facility for you. The guides are very nice and help the carts that got stuck in the mud and kept the group together. There is also a photographer there taking photos and videos for you so you do not need to get your phone dirty. The photos and videos were amazing and the price for the package is very reasonable. We would recommend this tour to anyone! Thank you to the staff and tour guides!!!

Took tour while on a 7-day cruise. It was a thrill driving through the jungle & all. Warning!!! You will get pretty dirty. However, the tour took us to a spot on the beach where we got to dip in & wash off a bit. There are showers, dressing rooms & restrooms back at the starting place.

Really very well run. The buggies were very robust, took a beating and had great shocks so you really weren't tossed around a lot. My suggestion: 1. bring clothes you will want to throw out and or you aren't afraid of getting soaked in mud. 2. Bring something to repeatedly douse your mask off with like a JUMBO bottle of water. I spent a lot of time trying to clean my mask from mud. 3. Have a confident driver driving. Anyone can do it but its more fun and you won't get suck if you know how to drive in the mud.
They pick you up from the new port and essentially take you to the old port about 15 min through town so you get to see a little of Dominican Rep. Be aware this is a 3rd world country. The driver and staff were great and it is a big open air truck. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone 70 and older or 9 and younger. But all other adventurous ages... HAVE AT IT! You literally drive through Dominican Rivers and mud pits!

Amazing tour. Very fun but be prepared to get dirty! The only reason I didn't give this tour all 5 stars is because I would have loved to be able to drive faster and go through more mud and water.

Calvin and Walter were awesome! The buggy rides were the best! Bypass cruise ship tours for sure. Go through trip adviser for all your tours. My girl and I had so much fun! Get ready to get muddy!
