Santa Maria della Salute is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica located at Punta della Dogana in the Dorsoduro sestiere of the city of Venice. It stands on the narrow finger of Punta della Dogana, between the Grand Canal and the Giudecca Canal, at the Bacino di San Marco, making the church visible when entering the Piazza San Marco from the water. In 1630, Venice experienced an unusually devastating outbreak of the plague. As a votive offering for the city's deliverance from the pestilence, the Republic of Venice vowed to build and dedicate a church to Our Lady of Health. The dome of the Salute was an important addition to the Venice skyline and soon became emblematic of the city, inspiring artists such as Canaletto, J. M. W. Turner, John Singer Sargent, and the Venetian artist Francesco Guardi.

The Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo is a small palazzo in Venice, Italy, best known for its external multi-arch spiral staircase known as the Scala Contarini del Bovolo.The twenty-eight-metre high cylindrical tower containing the spiral staircase is chromatically characterised by the alternation of red cotto bricks and white Istria stone unravelling in the six floors of loggias curling up the bovolo’s eighty steps.

Teatro La Fenice is an opera house in Venice. It is one of the most famous and renowned landmarks in the history of Italian theatre and in the history of opera as a whole.La Fenice Opera House opened its history on May 16, 1792 on the occasion of La Festa della Sensa. It has risen two times from its ashes and water. Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Britten, Nono, Maderna and in recently times Kagel, Guarnieri, Mosca, Ambrosini, Perocco have composed numerous works performed here for the first time. The Malibran Theater is our second home. It was designed by Tommaso Bezzi. It was built in place of the Marco Polo residence, destroyed after a violent fire that occurred in 1597 and was inaugurated during the carnival of 1678. In 1992 it was acquired by the Venice Municipality.

Very touristy experience. Fun to get out on the water but you can do the same with a water teci for less monies. But it is a must do in Venice for many.

I would recommend a gondola ride, just maybe with a different group. They were really nice, but they basically convoyed us all together, and then the tour only lasted 14 minutes. We paid for 30, at $200 and then they only did half the time. Then the Gondolier was pretty visibly upset that we didn't have cash for a tip. We did book last minute, but they all seemed to be with the same company all over the island. I don't know if we would've gotten a better ride (or at least the time allotted and paid for) anywhere else.

Essentially the same €90 flat rate gondola ride marked up by over 35% by Viator. The gondolier was fine as was the boat but overall a poor value and would have been much better served to book this directly at the gondola service stop. Would NOT recommend unless willing to pay significantly more for the same experience.

The stars were for just being on the gondola. The tour was lackluster and really amounted to going around the block. The gondolier was occasionally interacting with his cell phone and said very little except to make a couple of points.

This was the best location to go out of and our guide was amazing. Very nice gondola ride. I would highly recommend doing a private one. The boats are small, but perfect for a family of four or five.

Be organised and ensure you know where you need to be as there are many different Gondola meeting points in Venice. We were late for our booking but were fortunate that the company still allowed us to take our Gondola ride. The ride itself was good and our Gondolier was very pleasant and happy to chat to us during our journey. It was over too quickly and could have done with a longer ride but all in all a very good and must do experience.

For the cost of the ride it was okay. I didn’t feel like we received our full time scheduled and our gondaler only shared a few items with us . As an evening tour it was a bit lacking. However, our driver gave us a smooth ride and after all, it’s Venice!

We were told aprox 30 mins for the gondola ride and in reality we were given only 20 minutes.
The gondolier was very rude with us, making the experience very bad.

If you come to venice with your significant other, you must do this. However, it is said it lasts around 30 mins bit my tour was barely 20 mins, 3 of which was standing still waiting for a lane to clear up. It was insanely short.

Very disappointed-
Unfortunately they didn’t seem very organized. Ride was only 15 minutes vs the advertised 30 minutes. The gentleman did not speak to us and only to other men on their boats. I do not recommend.
