We had a great time tasting whisky and listening to the history of the McIntosh family. Stuart rolls out a good tale and is quite charming/amusing in his delivery. A fun way to spend a few idle hours, couldn't recommend more.
Well done Chiefs Son

Passionate host. Great tasting of thier product range and the showings of thier making processes. Extensive knowledge about products and family history which was very entertaining. Unfortunately it was very expensive particularly as Viator was paid in US$ somehow. Why??? Thx.

We first sampled this fantastic drop at the Good Food & Wine Show in Melbourne. My hubby was convinced their Single Malt was direct from the Scottish Highlands. We just had to visit the Distillary. Distillery Tour with Cheese Board ... here we come.
The distillery is well laid out and very modern. Our tour was held by the chief distiller and co-owner Mr Stuart McIntosh. He held our interest for a good 1 1/2 hours. We learned so much ... from the beginning .... 900 years ago to today. Not saying any more than that. You will need to visit for yourself.
The cheese board was great and the tastings were stunning. Will certainly be going back. LOVE THE VODKA too.

Visited for the tour last weekend. All the staff were warm, friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable. Wonderful personal touch as the tour was lead by the founder complete with family history and stories. The Whisky and Vodka featured is some of the best we've had outside of the Scottish Highlands. Quality is superb and well worth the purchase price. Couldn't fault this as a weekend visit and their hospitality is beyond reproach. Thoroughly recommend this to everyone.

Felt right at home with the distillers!
Lots of whisky banter, overlooking the copper stills, aged barrels and the best part was stealing whisky straight from the barrel.

Stuart was a fantastic host, providing a fascinating insight into the creation of whisky as well as the genesis of Chief’s Son and its evolution (created and run by Stuart and his wife).
A delicious platter of local cheeses complemented the four tastings, with Stuart offering extra tastings of some other varieties. Encouraging us all to help ourselves to a take-home sample by drawing from the barrel using a whisky thief was a nice touch!
Thoroughly recommended for anyone who has even the slightest interest in whisky!
