This private tour by foot includes among others the following spots: Paradeplatz (one of the most expensive places in the world; suggested pick up); Fraumünster (more than just a church); Thermengasse (the origin of Zurich); St. Peter’s church; Lindenhof (a beautiful view point); Lenin’s house; Grossmünster (founded by a famous emperor), an ancient Trade Guild House.

Jonathan was a great guide who was informative and spoke excellent English. We walked and learned the history of old town Zürich, as well as local cultures and touring recommendations. It was a great way to start our first day in Switzerland.

First of all, a quick shoutout to the tour organizer, who told our guide to wait for us at one place and told us to wait for her at another place. Thankfully, we were able to contact her via phone and we started the tour without incident. That little hiccup aside, the tour was excellent! Vanessa gave us a great 2+ hour tour of the Old Town, stopping at highlights such as the Fraumunster and the Grossmunster, but also the fountains, important historic sites (where Zurich women saved the city from invading forces), vestiges of a Roman bath, and a panoramic view of the river. We also learned a lot about life in Switzerland. To top it off, Vanessa shared some Swiss chocolates with us to finish our tour. This was a great way to spend a free morning we had in town!

I gave this tour 3 stars because the fact that it says customizable isnt really the case. They took a long time to answer we booked on the same day and since we were waiting for the reply we started exploring and couldn’t get back to the meeting point they set up for us on time. We tried to customize the time and they couldn’t, and ended up with a 30min tour. However, our tour guide was INCREDIBLY. We would have loved to spend more time learning from Liana.

Jonathan was an amazing guide. Our whole family loved him. We got to know a lot about Swiss life, culture and history. The tour was worth it. He was patient with our photography and at the end he even gifted us chocolates which was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

I have been on many Free walking tours around Europe, but this one takes the cake! Zurich is a beautifull place with interesting history but what won us over the most was Emre´s presentation. The talk was interesting, very informative and overall nice. You could see that he really enjoys what he does and we could feel it during the tour, making the experience very pleasant.
