Racha Yai offers some of the best local year around dive-sites but the visibility varies as to the season. On the north end of the island are two beautiful little bays Homerun Bay and Siam Bay famous for their deep clear water and colorful coral formations. Both of them have almost swimming pool features as they gradually drop to a depth of 20-25 metres onto a sandy seabed, providing many opportunities for both snorkeling and scuba diving.
The best diving is off the east coast at Bay 1 to 5. The current allows a gentle drift dive along a sloping rocky face that is covered with an amazing array of hard corals and the nutrient rich water draws large schools of tropical fish. Around Racha Yai, some large rays have been seen. Leopard sharks and just recently Blacktip reef sharks have made an appearance again.

Fantastic day with three dives at Racha Noi and Racha Yai. Our dive master Brem was great to dive with, and took tonnes of excellent photos.
Very nice dive boat, shoulder season so not over crowded, good food and snacks on board.

Very good dive shop. I took the OW course here. I dived at PP Island for one day and Racha Island for one day. The experience is very good. The shop owner and the coach are also very serious and responsible.

It was a great pleasure learning diving with scuba deep Phuket My instructor (jean) was able to make au feel comfortable during their first steps into the water. He has great knowledge about diving on Racha yai island etc.which he is willing to pass on. It was a great experience doing my open water course with him. Looking forward to return to scuba deep Phuket for some more diving skills

I went diving with Phil. Was a top experience with loads of fun and many fish! Went diving with him April 2022. 3 Dives in Phi Phi Island, and 3 Dives in Racha Islands. Really recommend it.

Completed my 3 day PADI open water scuba course with Scubadeep. Really enjoyed it. Instructor Brem was highly professional and guided us well throughout the course. The boat facility was nice, had proper food and drinks arrangements. Pickup and drop were all managed by Scubadeep and the course prices were also very reasonable. One of the best scuba centres offering all 6 boat dives at really competitive prices. We dived at Racha Yai, Turtle Rock and PhiPhi Leh and never faced any issues during the dives. Really supportive team on the ship, helped to get ready before dives and get on boat after dives. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore scuba diving.
