We always try to do a guided walking tour early on our holidays as it’s a great way to explore and find your way around. We booked this tour for our first day in Split before we travelled and I didn’t think it would go ahead as the weather forecast was atrocious. Our tour guide Mijo messaged me the evening before to let us know that it could be cancelled but luckily the storm held off and the walk went ahead as planned.
Many of the other tour groups we saw were very crowded and it must have been difficult for them to even hear their guide, let alone ask anything; however, Mijo always limits the size of his groups and there were only four of us, which was great as it meant we were able really get to know everyone and had the opportunity to ask questions as we went along.
Mijo has lived in Split all his life and was very interesting and knowledgeable as he showed us around the Diocletian Palace. It’s a fascinating place but there are so many tiny alleyways and little squares and courtyards that we would never have seen it all without him.
The tour lasted about 90 minutes and afterwards Mijo emailed us with recommendations on other things to do and places to eat and drink.
It was a really enjoyable experience, great value for money and a lovely start to our holiday. Thanks Mijo x

Cannot rate Mijo highly enough as a tour guide. I’ve travelled the world, been on many walking tours but very few were as interesting or well-paced as this one. Mijo is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about the city and charming.

Fun and informative. Highly recommended. You walk through the historic centre and get to see some less obvious spots in the city.
