Mama Noi Thai Cookery School is a unique cooking experience that offers travelers an authentic and immersive experience in Thai cuisine. They will be able to learn about Thai flavors and techniques with the guidance of a local chef. What makes Mama Noi Thai Cookery School unique is that each traveler will have their own cooking station, allowing them to have a personalized experience.

It was a really nice experience with a very good and funny teacher. we went first to a local market, then to their organic farm and finally to the cooking part. It was all according to the schedule. We were in a group of 8 people (we didn’t want a class with a lot of people, so it was nice). We recommend it a lot.

Staff asked about allergies as soon as we began and then notified me of what dishes I could cook and then gave me gluten free sauce substitutes to use and kept me informed the whole time. Lots of fun and staff were fun and lovely!

Signed up for this at the last minute and we are so glad we did! So much fun!! Do yourself a favor and do the air con upgrade, which allows you an air conditioned room to do your food prep in and to eat in. We went to the market briefly, then to the school nearby. We walked through the onsite farm and then started food prep and cooking. Our instructor was fantastic and fun. Food was yummy. Highlight of our trip.

We had such a great time. Loved seeing the market where you could buy all the ingredients. Then went to the cooking school where they grow a lot of the ingredients on the property. Then we ground all the spices and cooked our own food. So much fun and so nummy…..

Fern was amazing, we had a great time. Highly recommend this cooking course. We got to visit the market, their organic garden and then cook a range of dishes along with getting a recipe book!! Thank you very much!

The pickup was on time, in a covered truck/jeep. It is an old one like many of the red pick up buses in Chiang Mai. Lucky for us the weather was not too hot so it was bearable. Kids loved it and they are not the spoilt type that "need air-conditioning everywhere" and enjoyed the ride as it was "part of the experience" - so no complaints.
The driver took us to a wet/dry market and we were introduced to the local ingredients. The market was surprisingly clean - brownie points!
We then left and were brought to the school where we walked through an plant archway.
There were 2 old tortoises where you can feed and touch before the class began.
Once the class started they asked us to choose our dishes.
Even the kids cooked, my kids were 13, 11 and 8 at that time. The 8 year old had to be accompanied by an adult but the other 2 could cook alone. the instructor chef spoke very clearly and fluently and it was easy to follow the class. She was a livewire and kept the interaction very lively and genuine.
Although cooking for the first time, our dishes turned out perfectly! Great kudos to how the class was run.
Also there was an air conditioned and non air conditioned cookery class option.
We took the non air conditioned - we'd recommend this to anyone.
Last but not least, keep yourself hungry cos you are going to eat the food at the end of the day!

There were so many cooking classes to choose from that I had a hard time deciding on one. Think I definitely made a wonderful choice. We did walk to a farmers market briefly. It was long enough to learn about the unique ingredients of Thailand but not too long to feel drawn out. The organic farm also had a large variety of home grown plants and vegetable to see and experience. I also enjoyed the well organized cooking portion without significant delay. There were 3 choices per each category of dishes making it interesting for my group. Highly recommend checking this out. And paying do the air conditioned room

Wow what an experience! Everything was great from A to Z. You can pick from a great selection of traditional thai dishes, pick how spicy/sweet you want your dishes to be. I recommend the kao soi and the cashew chicken. Amazing experience that i recommend to everyone visiting chiang mai
