The entire trip was excellent. Sky Camp's stay was wonderful except the flush was not working on the night we stayed. Other than that, the stay was very good. The second night stay was wonderful with a warm water shower. The food was great all 4 days.
Our guide Juan Carlos was excellent and with vast knowledge about the Incas.

We took the 4 day salkantay trek and it’d not have been more than what it was and it’s all possible because of our tour guide Juan Carlos. Juan has been so inspirational, so encouraging and helped us with everything we needed to make our trek, stay, food all very well taken care of…the views were amazing and breathtaking ! We took so many pictures and Juan made us so comfortable that I would recommend anyone going on this tour have him as your guide to derive 100% satisfaction and pleasant tour. He’s so dedicated and committed that he put his personal needs behind our needs. Truly incredible experience doubled with excellent guide all along the way. Best season by the way - we had no rain though we were supplied with ponchos if required. Superb Salkantay trek experience !!! Please do take this trek to experience the Humantay Lake, sky camps, Salkantay pass and ultimately Machu Picchu !

Fully recommend this trek. Only downside is that we didn’t do more days. Nico was a great host and now friend. Sargeo was insightful and down to earth as well. Easy to talk to both about the trek and life. Juan made amazing food. Nobody was left hungry!

Nico and Sergio were the best guides on this trek! Thanks to both of them, I had an unforgettable experience. Also, I can’t thank Orlando, our chef, enough for accommodating my food allergies by providing a dairy/egg free option for every dish I could not eat. I ate well on this trek thanks to him! Thank you so much Salkantay Trekking for this amazing experience.
I appreciated the small participant to guide ratio. We were 8 people with 2 guides. I noticed other companies had very large groups with a single guide.
Sleeping bags were very warm!
+if your legs can handle a final push at Machu Picchu, I highly recommend hiking/climbing Huayna Picchu.

This was an incredible trip which I will remember forever. The variety of landscapes, from snow tipped mountains, to green farmlands to the jungle were breathtaking. Our guide Ramiro was knowledgable, friendly, and passionate about teaching us the ecological and historical backgrounds of our route. The trail is difficult at times, especially given the altitude, but the accomodation (especially the mountain view sky camp) and meals (which were so tasty) provided make it a much more comfortable environment. I would definitely recommend acclimatising to the altitude for at least a day and a half, and ensure that this time is not spent doing any strenuous activities, Cusco is a beautiful city with lots to see. I have already recommended this trip to several of my friends and I can’t imagine there is a better company to do it with than Salkantay Trekking.
