My husband my mother and I were on a NCL cruise and booked this tour with viator. This was a perfect excursion- it was very easy to find the meeting place which was a short walk from the ship port. Our driver Andreas with company Theocar was excellent. The olive oil tour and tasting was fun and we enjoyed a wonderful Greek lunch at a local restaurant. The lunch was especially memorable because the owner of Theocar just happened to be there. He took great care of us and made sure we tasted the best authentic Greek dishes. I highly recommend this company and this tour.

Our guide (I never could catch his name, but started with M) was very proud to show us the countryside. The olive oil producer was interesting and we shipped some home. He then took us to a restaurant where we ate the best Greek salad…tomatoes & cucumbers like nothing I’ve had before! While looking at the garden and admiring the basil plant, they broke off 2 stems and we’ll grow it at home. Added bonus is the wonderful smell it lent our cruise cabin! M then took us shopping at his favorite store😉
It was fun having the designer pull dresses to try and I bought some beautiful silk dresses. We did not go to the places listed in the description, but that’s ok because M made it an amazing day and we truly saw the local lifestyle in Katakolo. Probably our favorite tour on our 10 day port-intensive cruise! Thank you!

This was a highlight of our holiday, a memory we will cherish and an experience we whole-heartedly recommend.
We consider ourself foodies and were keen to learn more about the cuisine of Greece. This was a wonderful way to achieve that since we didin't want to visit the archealogical sites suggested from Katakolo.
Understanding the way olives are grown, harvested and transformed into Olive Oil was very interesting and the tasting session was really enjoyable and even more informative than we’d expected. We came away with a much greater appreciation.
Incredibly welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable driver with a smile and always there to help us! We did the tour with a comfortable new car.

This was one of my most favorite experiences while in Greece! To learn about olives, the process of making into olive oil and then tasting the different types was wonderful. The bonus was the restaurant food was one of the best meals I had in Greece! You would not be wasting your time or money with this tour. I totally recommend it if you want to taste greek traditional food!
