Not far from Ubud, there are villages where serenity and authenticity invite us to share in the richness of everyday Indonesian life. Welcomed by a Balinese family, we set off to meet the inhabitants of their villages. As we stroll through rice paddies and plantations, we observe how rice is grown. In a relaxed atmosphere, we learn how to make coconut oil, ideal for cooking and massages. We are invited to discover the traditional cuisine prepared over a wood fire, and enjoy a home-made coffee. Under the proud and attentive gaze of our hosts, we interweave leaves and plant fibers to make a variety of colorful offerings. A unique day rich in exchange.

We visited a village near Unis with mytravel Indonesia, the guide had an unforgettable smile, she spoke French, which allowed us to ask lots of questions and learn more about Balinese culture.
The meal was very good, the rice fields very beautiful and local, the making of coconut oil was a real discovery for us and the offering course brought us lots of information (and very fun 😇). Thank you again for these memories which will remain engraved for life
