Take a break from your Boston city break with this scenic private tour. There's lots of ocean views, rocky coastline, a bit of shopping and even some witch history.
We keep this full day itinerary flexible to let you customize the tour but here's a feel for what we'll see.
Pick up in Downtown Boston, taking the 60 minute highway drive to Manchester-by-the-Sea, where we pick up the scenic back roads.
We'll take a picturesque country road to Gloucester, where we stop to walk along the waters edge to the Fisherman's memorial statue.
We'll continue the scenic drive to Rockport, where there's a great collection of cute stores to browse and views to admire.
Then drive to Salem, where we have time for a short walking tour around the main sites and historic spots.
To finish out the day we'll squeeze in a few more ocean views on our drive back to Boston.
We'll stop along the way for lunch (not included in price of tour).
Sit back, relax and enjoy the views.

Martin was our incredible host for this day long tour. Our family learned so much and had a great time on this tour of Salem and the North Shore. After visiting the Salem Witch Museum, Martin gave us even more history about this time period. We also bought a few chocolates and candies from the country's oldest candy shop. Martin shared a local seafood place for lunch and we enjoyed chowder and crab cakes. We finished up with seeing some beatiful sites with some local shops.
Side note: We had a place picked out for dinner. Martin shared that due to current tunnel construction, it would be very difficult to get a Lyft ride back from this location. Martin went the extra steps to help us pick a new restaurant and get us in for reservation at the time of our choosing. This was much appreciated.
We had a great day with Martin and enjoyed our day together.

Martin, our guide and driver, knows his stuff! He confirmed our meeting time and location the day before, then picked us promptly. He drove us in a new clean car, and he is an excellent driver. At every stop, he shared stories and interesting facts about the site. It was great day!

I have used Trailblazer Tours several times this year for business. This time it was a private personal tour. Martin is an expert historian and super safe driver. Salem was interesting but it was a Saturday in October. Translation: super busy. I suggest a week day or visit in another month to fully appreciate the history of the city. We then drove to Rockport, a quaint and adorable community on the ocean. Thank you, Martin, for recommending this stop and for a super delicious late lunch at My Place by the Sea. Yummy, fresh seafood with a gorgeous water view.

We took a full day tour that included a walk around Salem, MA and a trip up the coast. Martin was a wonderful guide and showed us many nice things about Salem that we didn't know (even though we've been to Salem many times before!).
Also, he knew just the place for our group to go to lunch and helped us get a table even though there was a line out the door.
We had a wonderful day and will definitely use him again for other trips around the city.

This is our 3rd private tour with Martin. He doesn't disappoint. His knowledge of history is very interesting and informative. We always want to hear more.
Martin's knowledge of the witches of Salem was very informative. Martin also took us to Gloucester,Ma where we saw the famous Gloucester Fisherman. If you want a great tour with a great guide Martin with Trailblazer tours is the best.

What an amazing experience! We were blown away by all the knowledge and expertise Martin has. He should us amazing sites and each stop was very enjoyable. We loved the stop in Rockport and he took us to the most amazing restaurant. On top of the tour, he went above and beyond by recommending restaurants in Boston and making reservations for us where we were treated very well by the restaurant staff as friends of Martins. Highly recommend!!!

Martin is so accommodating, knows his craft well. He had very warm personality and very respectful . We learned a lot from this tour. Very highly recommended. Will definitely look forward for future trip to Boston and nearby area. Thank you Martin and Joan.
