Oahu has many amazing spots to learn how to surf. The world-famous North Shore is probably one of the best spots in Hawaii to learn how to catch your first wave. We offer a unique surfing experience suitable for first-time wave sliders.
Our professional surf instructors will explain the fundamentals of surfing, reading the surf zone, surfing etiquette, timing, and catching the wave, as well as the transition from paddling to standing.
We will fine-tune your lesson to meet your specific needs. To make it even easier for first-timers, a push from your instructor will help you catch your first Hawaiian wave!

First want to say I greatly appreciate they were able to fit me and my dad in on short notice. We forgot to complete the booking process.
The instructor James was fantastic and great person to be around. If you ever want to learn to surf I would highly recommend them.

James was an awesome teacher! We had three kids 6,9, and 11 with us and he was very patient with each of them. All were surfing for the first time and they left feeling great about the experience.

We had booked private lessons as a couple from 8-9:30 a.m. With the warm morning sun, it was wonderful in the small bay at Haleiwa Beach Park. Not much going on and waves for beginners. Our teacher James was very friendly and gave us good instructions in the water, so that I was able to stand on the board all the way to the beach by the second wave. Feels great. Definitely suitable for beginners. Mahalo

We had a great surf lesson with Sea and Board Sports Wawaii. There were 4 of us (dad and 3 daughters) and we all loved it. James and Evan were great to work with. They were patient, friendly and worked very hard to teach us how to surf (we were all complete beginners) and they got us into some great waves. We will definitely use them again next time we visit. Our instructor, Doug was the best!! He is extremely knowledgeable and teaches well, he found us some nice waves to ride, and made our first surfing experience very memorable.

Fantastic lesson! Very professional, but easy going at the same time. Even though I am over 50 (and not in great shape) while my son is 17 (and is very athletic) the instructor made it super enjoyable for both of us. Definitely recommend for any family, regardless of varying abilities. They will absolutely make it work and make it fun for all!
