One time ok. Views are stunning. If someone explains about the place over from where we are passing by then the experience will get better. Like running audio cometary with headphones or something like that.

Amazing views, but you'll only be looking at the islands for 10m at the max. Most of the advertised 25m time is spent taking off, landing, and going back to the base through the water.

We had a scenic flight booked over Ha Long Bay late Feb. Unfortunately it was cancelled due to the weather, but we do want to comment on the service we received.
We went to the agreed meeting point, the office of Hai Au Aviation, not realizing a message had been sent to us to advise the flight had been cancelled. The office was unattended, which wasn't a concern as we were early. We did start to get a little worried as time went on.
Just before the scheduled time of the flight a young guy arrived by motorbike. He couldn't speak English but handed us his phone. The person on the other end told us the flight had to be cancelled due to poor viability. We had also arranged transfer to the Hai Phong airport for after the scenic flight. The person on the phone confirmed with us that the transfer was still needed and arranged the transport.
It was great, because we had not acknowledged the message re the flight cancellation, this Company went out of its way to get to us and ensure we knew what was going on.
Can't thank them enough for doing this, we would have been really stuck otherwise. Our phone was not connecting to Roaming so we were in a real bind

The staff was very nice and we at least sat in the plane.
But it didn't take-off, as the weather was not good enough.

Despite the weather being not so great but still flyable, the view of the bay at 600ft was spectacular! 30 minutes for touring the bay seems a bit short, but it is intense.
