Follow the North Atlantic coastline from Reykjavík into the volcanic and glacier covered wonderland that is Iceland's south coast. Walk behind the thundering veil of spray at Seljalandsfoss Waterfall see Skógafoss Waterfall from above. In the evening you will become a Northern Light Hunter. The Northern Lights are a spectacular natural phenomenon, and being in their presence reminds us of just how extraordinary our planet is. It is the type of experience that makes standing outdoors in the middle of the Arctic winter worthwhile.

We did a couple of trips with R/S during our stay but this was my fave. They turn up in time, Emel the driver and Emelia the guide were lovely . V friendly and helpful and Emelia was v knowledgeable about the sites. The coaches are warm and comfortable and plenty of rest and food breaks. An impromptu stop on the way back from the South Coast as the Northern Lights has been spotted was a bonus. Really recommend this company 👍🏻

I would have liked to have given a higher rating as I really enjoyed the South Coast tour (and also the Golden Circle tour the day before), but the Northern Lights tour was an absolute mess. The pick up started by the tour guide running down the street yelling my name, while the bus was parked down the street. I raised my hand and she literally yelled at me "Quick! Quick!" I was exactly where I was supposed to be and on time so this was confusing and alarming. I then had to follow her down the street to the bus which was filled with angry people. Apparently, they had tours booked and no staff to run them or to do the pick ups, thus one guide running all over town to grab people. Then we finally got to the bus terminal and sat for like 30 minutes while they tried to scramble more tour guides. So we left late and were not given anything that was advertised; no audio tour, no star map, no offer to use binoculars or tripods...nothing. They dumped us at some lava field were people were told to walk in the dark and many tripped and fell over rocks. It was freezing cold and no lights to top it all off. I went with a different company the next day and had a very pleasant experience and even saw the lights. The other 2 tours I took with this company were great, so this part was a real shame.
