The History of Valparaiso dates back to 1536 with his discovery.
Valparaiso is a constant surprise for its port-city life, its unusual architecture and layout of its streets. Known as The Garden City. It shows renewed and by the entire coastline shows a second generation of modern buildings with summer homes and condominiums.

Hector was awesome. We started and ended the tour at our own pace. It worked perfect for us; we have a toddler. He took us to local eateries (not so fancy shops but tastes great). I strongly recommend it

Making the best scenario out of the worst. Hector who runs HecTours, is a native of this area and will know exactly what and where to take you. We had rain all day and still thoroughly enjoyed our day tour. Private tours can customize to the passengers need and this is why it’s worth the money to allow for a guaranteed better experience. Don’t look elsewhere if you need someone in Santiago, or viña Del Mar/valparaiso. The vehicle was a nice Mercedes van and will always be parked in front and waiting on you at the best spots.

This was a private tour from Santiago. We spent 90% of our time in Valparaiso and very little in Vina del Mar, which is a good thing because Valparaiso is, by far, the most interesting area. We also spent most of our time on foot, which is also a good thing. This is a city that must be walked. We also had an interesting dining experience with our guide, which was extra, but also added to the experience.

If you want a private, customized, educational full day tour to Valparaiso, Hector is the guy! He picked my wife and I around 10am in the hotel we’ve stayed in Santiago in a lux van and returned us just in time for dinner, around 7pm. During those 9 hours we’ve learned so much about Chilean history, politics, food, wine, wall murals and architecture, went to Pablo Neruda’s home, drove the historical elevators in Valparaiso, walked up and down the streets, enjoyed the Pacific view in the afternoon when the fog lifted, etc…. If we were to do it by ourselves it would take days to go around and weeks to read all the books. Highly recommended tour!

Hector was a good tour leader and he explained the places very clearly to where we went.
He was very knowledgable and good photographer too.
I surely recommend him our friends.

Hec Tour Service did a fantastic job of arranging a private one day tour. We were picked up at our hotel in Santiago and taken to a beautiful winery in the Casablanca Valley for wine tasting. Then we head into Valparaiso for a half day private tour before being dropped off at the cruise port. Our guide Francisca and driver Yaritza were amazing! Thank you Hector for such an outstanding day!

Maria was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and attentive to both my wife and me. Juan Carlos was a professional who provided a clean and comfortable ride. The tour was true to the itinerary along with the personal touches that make the private tour well worth the price. We felt like we were spending the day with friends!

This private tour was one of the best excursions we have been on. Our guide, Rodriguez, was very informative and experienced (29 years) and he tailored our tour with us in mind. From the time we were picked up until we got back everything went smoothly. We learned a lot about the city of Valparaiso and its history. I highly recommend Rodriguez and his driver (very professional) for this tour.
