Was literally the most boring, stagnant and brutish sport I've ever witnessed.
I cannot believe that people in this country pay to watch it.
The atmosphere in the stadium was awful, with the only group chant was the name of the team followed by 3 claps. Lasted about 2 minutes before people stopped and resumed sitting in silence.
I saw a group of people push a pregnant woman over and someone yelling at an Indian security guard and telling him to go back to his own country. At one point I stood up to go to the toilet and got screamed at by the person behind me.
It was a truly awful experience all over.
Linked up with some soccer fans later on at a pub who took me to a melbourne victory game in Richmond.
Was a much better atmosphere, more friendly welcoming people and a nail-biting match that had everyone standing up all game.
Everyone was joining in singing and making funny songs.
In America we don't do that at our football matches but I wish we did... but the australian game is terrible. Avoid it at all costs.

The overall experience was good. I enjoyed the game and the local host was really friendly. I have recommended my friends to go for it.

The perfect way to spend an evening while learning about a new sport. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly; he was able to answer all my questions and relate it to sports I was familiar with. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who'd like to watch a game for the first time.

Several people told thus we should try to take in a game and to have a local guide walk us through the experience was great.

Our host, Simon, was very knowledgeable about the game and very cordial toward us. I already had a decent grasp of Aussie Rules from watching on TV, so most of my questions were a little more detailed into the workings of the league. He handled them, as well as the rudimentary questions, quite capably. He is a true fan of the game and well qualified to host us.

What a game! This was by far the best booking we did in Melbourne. Our local host was fantastic and provided us easy to understand information. With the group size limitation, we couldn't help feeling like this was a private tour.
