We were a little hesitatate about booking this tour as we were under some incorrect knowledge about the Dharavi slums. Thank goodness we booked this tour to discover the real truth and what an amazing and eye-opening experience it turned out to be.
Our massive thanks to Abhishek, our guide, and Pranav, our driver. We received excellent treatment, and everything was explained in great detail. Abhi knows his country well, and all our questions were answered, plus so much detail on our questions. It was so interesting to chat about life here in Mumbai and from the UK.
We saw so much in Dharavi, the businesses, homes, and everyday life - goodness me, it was so thought-provoking.
After leaving Dharavi, we visited the huge open air laundry at Dhobi Ghat, simply astonishing. Our trip continued to Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalaya Museum and historic building, and we had a good time looking at archive photos and memories of Gandhi. It is absolutely fascinating and well worth the time.
Our tour continued to the viewing point at Kamala Nehru Park with great views across the bay and Mumbai. We also got to see the Boot House (Ghar), inspired by the poem "The Old Women who lived in a shoe."
We continued with more sights and a stop at the Crawford Market and finally a visit to the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji railway station. It is a wonderful building and noted for Platform 2, where filming of Slumdog Millionaire end music Jai Ho took place.
We had such a full and informative tour today, so thank you again for making us feel welcome and informed. Lastly, Abhi's English and understanding of the language is first class and couldn't be faulted. Chris and Russ.

fantastic driver and tour guide balaji.
changed the tour slightly to accomodate places i hadn’t seen yet. answered all my questions and had plenty of information. pick up was at the perfect time. smiles and good vibes all day.
5 stars. would recommend to anyone visiting the city of mumbai to see all sides to the city.

Visit of slumbs with my guide Bala.
it is important to know as well about the hard life of those people living in the slumbs.
It is a world on its own. Even Indian people living outside of the slumbs never go there.
But by knowing them better, hopefully they will get more attention, help, rights …
It takes courage every day to do what they need to do to survive and make earnings for there families living far away, even then they are kind and open their doors to visitors
With a smile.
I will tell anyone who wants to hear about this and invite them to go and visit.

It was very nice tour.
Mr. Balaji guided me. He has a lot of knowledge on Dharavi and Mumbai which were very interesting and new for me.
Dharavi is worth visiting and the city with full of life.
I can recommend this tour.

I had a great tour today with Chirag (guide) and Deepak (driver). It was fantastic to see the Dharavi slums; Chirag was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting information throughout the tour. Would recommend.
