Guided Kayak Tour Bergen

Really nice guided tour. Convenient central pick up at the Visitor Center. Easy drive out Syltøyna with information about the area along the way. Our guides Iris and Michael got our large group ready quickly and safely explaining the equipment and helping everyone get started.
The area is quiet and beautiful and the guides were knowledgeable both in giving us information and answering questions.
At the end of about 2 hours paddling we returned to the dock area to enjoy an amazing lunch of fresh fish stew, freshly caught crab! And homemade waffles. Everyone involved was friendly and welcoming. What a nice small and personal operation, that was also well organized and efficient. A highlight of my visit to Bergen!

Weather didn’t cooperate, there was too much wind to kayak. But no problem!! We were offered a fishing trip in replacement. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Lunch was spectacular.

My wife and I very much enjoyed this tour. The location (we were transported about 40 minutes outside Bergen to small local islands) was absolutely beautiful and our very personable guide, Iris, made the trip very special by providing well informed and interesting commentary on the social history, geology and biology of the environment. The kayaking is suitable for a wide range of athletic fitness. There is a decent level of activity if you are sporty, but you can also go paddle leisurely if you prefer. The weather in Bergen is very variable and it often rains (year round). Best is if you can plan to spend a few days in the city and sign up to go on the tour when good weather is forecast. Bergen is Norway's most beautiful city, making an extended stay worthwhile.

Excellent and scenic tour around the waters near Bergen. Wonderful guide and tasty local lunch afterwards. Highly recommend this tour.

It was an excellent kayaking trip and our guide made it memorable.. they even accommodated our dietary needs and made us waffles for dessert.

The guides we had were wonderful and kind. They had lots to share about Norway the entire trip and were very helpful considering we were new to kayaking. The pickup and entire trip felt very easy and we got to see a part of Norway we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. It was beautiful and felt like a very personal tour with only us and one other pair. Was definitely glad to have booked this trip!

Michael was a fantastic guide for our Kayak tour. We had a wide range of ages and everyone had a wonderful time. Michael was funny,informative and personable. We had a pretty windy day but was still very good time kayaking. When finished kayaking, we were served a delicious fish soup and Norwegian waffles. The food was delicious! You will not regret booking this tour!

The weather was cold and rainy. We were very worried that we made a mistake picking this tour. We were very happy that when we finally got all our gear on and got out onto the water that the sun came out and made a beautiful day for us. Tour guides gave us water proof jackets that helped keep us warm and even gave us “skirts” to our on the kayaks so no water got in and got us wet. For those of us with cold hands they also gave us some gloves! Tour was very thought out and we enjoyed every moment in the beauty of Norway! Highly recommend this excursion. Iris was a great guide and even took pictures of us while out on the water!
