This was an awesome experience. If you love doing things off the beaten path and want to really emerse yourself in Greek culture this is for you!
Hara was so warm and welcoming. She had appetizers waiting for us when we arrived, because we had told her we would .be exploring Thesoloniki prior to arriving, (We actually went and got a couples massage-LOL!) It's vacation right, and you really work up an appetite getting a massage.
After tea and apps and getting to know each other a little bit we starting cooking together. It was such a fun experience learning her style of Greek cuisine. It was very hands on. The food was absolutely delicious. We sat and enjoyed a wonderful meal in a local home as she shared some of her life and culture with us. If you love food, cooking and culture, this is definitely for you.

One of the best experiences we had in Greece! Hara, our guide, had us prepare a very simple and tasty vegan pie, and we enjoyed a huge delicious meal of many other healthy dishes including local herbal teas and candied fruit for desert. We had an incredible conversation about history, culture, folklore, and how it connects to food and community.
