The tour guide, Gabriel, did a great job engaging with the group. They asked questions to random people on the tour and had volunteers help with demonstrating some of the stories. There were a lot of opportunities to sit down during the 90 minute tour and the walking was not overly taxing. The group was large, at least 25 people, but the tour guide did an excellent job keeping us together and safe on the busier streets.

We had a great time! I brought my 14 year old cousin who was visiting from the US, and she had a great time, but I had to explain some of the context to her to help her understand some of the stories since she's not local. We moved quick enough between the alley ways to hold her attention, and her phone was in her pocket the whole time! We loved the story of Simon McTavish the best!

Madame Lily was a very engaging tour guide. Learn about the justice (?) system in the early days of French and English rule.

Our 'ghost guide', Madame Morfine, was hilarious, wonderfully theatrical and very knowledgeable. What a fun evening it was, looking for ghosts in beautiful Old Montreal, and learning about their tragic and bloody stories.

Alice was our guide extraordinaire. She made the walk by being so animated and telling great stories that she linked into her own personal life, perhaps. Either way it made for some very interesting ghost stories as we wandered around old Montreal. Part of the fun was the tie into some of the real history of Montreal which was also great to hear.

This ghost walk was great. We had Franklin for our guide. He was theatrical and funny. Being on vacation, we lost track of the days and showed up for the walk a day early, but they graciously let us on the tour. This was our first time in Montreal and the tour helped us see the sights and learn about the history of the area. Franklin is an excellent guide and he really knew how to involve us in his narration. I highly recommend taking this 90 minute ghost walk.

This was an entertaining tour around Old Montreal regarding some of the darker history of Old Montreal, including some ghost stories. Madame Morphine was a great storyteller - super energetic. In general I wish there were more about the ghost stories throughout the walk. There were many points where the group was walking for a quite a while to the next stop - and Madame was quick ahead, and members of the group were falling behind. Perhaps better if more stories in shorter intervals so there’s less chance of losing people along the busy streets.

We met our dearly departed ghost host at Place Royale on june 19th at 5 pm. Reluctantly, she shared her death story with us only once! Being a true Canadian from the 1800s, she was hiding from her husband she didn’t love and her 7 kids for a moment of peace and died chugging maple syrup. Tragic. She then told us many of her fellow historic ghost downfalls as we walked around old town to the sites of their deaths. It was high 80s and humidity made it feel like 96 F out. Our theatrical host kept character and was kind and walked at a nice pace and found us shade and spots to sit for her stories. At the end of our tour, other strangers were listening and trying to get pictures with her. Was patient and appropriate with our 9 yo that accompanied. Great job.
Unfortunately, I have been home 2 days and meant to write a review. Today I went to relax at the pool and put this review another day. We came home and the most Canadian problem occurred, a bottle of maple syrup we had only bought for pancake art, had crashed on our pantry floor and spilled everywhere! My child is happily convinced our ghost host followed us home and was up to her hijinx. :).
