Flexible Half Day Tour to Zhujiajiao Water Town with Boat Ride from Shanghai

This was our second tour with Sunny's company, and our guide Ruby provided an exceptional experience in Zhujiajiao. Her knowledge, engaging personality, and ability to connect with us made the day memorable. The customized Sichuan lunch at Cao xi Ren jia was a highlight, perfectly catering to our love of spicy food.

Ruby's expertise shone as she guided us through key attractions, including Ke zhi garden, Bei Da Jie street, Tai An bridge, and the city god temple dock. Her insights into local history and old Chinese culture added depth to each location. The gondola ride was particularly enjoyable.

Ruby's professionalism was evident from the punctual hotel pickup to the comfortable drive in a nice car. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to share personal interests (like her fondness for Kevin Costner) made for great conversation.

Our family enjoyed exploring Zhujiajiao, a water village outside bustling Shanghai. This half-day tour was both fun and informative, offering a glimpse into China’s rich history and culture.

Annie was a delightful and knowledgeable guide, offering interesting facts about Shanghai as we drove through this impressive city.

Highlights:
1. Guided Walking Tour: Annie led us through Zhujiajiao’s winding streets, flanked by picturesque waterways. The village’s perfectly preserved architecture and heritage were truly captivating.
2. Canal Cruise: We hopped on a tranquil river cruise, allowing us to see the town from a different perspective. The gondola glided under charming stone bridges, revealing hidden corners and historic landmarks.
3. We enjoyed a delicious traditional dinner, followed by some unique souvenir shopping and haggling.

el dia 19 de abril 2024 realice el recorrido por la ciudad acuatica de Zhujiajiao desde Shangai con opción de paseo en barco. El paseo muy agradable y lo más destacable fue la atención brindada por el guía y el conductor de habla inglesa y también española quienes se esforzaron al máximo para que yo pudiese disfrutar y aprovechar la excursión.

The trip was amazing and the pace is very relaxing. We were picked up at our hotel and greeted by our guide Chris. Throughout the journey Chris was able to engage us with background information not just about the place but also in general China. Chris is warm and friendly thus making us feel at home. We highly recommend this tour.

We had an incredible experience on our half-day tour to Zhujiajiao with Chris and Sunny Tours. Chris was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. It was a great tour with Chris. Chris did a wonderful job of explaining the area, culture and all the question we had. The shopping and boat ride was an amazing experience and we are so thankful Chris was our tour guide. It was a perfect experience from the time we left the hotel until we returned to the hotel. Thank you very much Chris and if I had enough time for another tour I will be asking for Chris and the same professional driver. He did an amazing job.

This tour is a must-go in Shanghai! Very ancient vibe of Shanghai and The guide is so experience in telling us the history of the water town.

If you want a private tour, we definitely recommend it. We were picked up on time from our hotel. The car was very clean and modern (Tesla). Driver drove careful and very safe. Our tour guide suggested to go early morning, around 7:30am to avoid crowds and it was perfect choice. We were one of the first people in the Water Village that morning, no waiting for the boat ride, no crowds, lots of time to take it all in. Our guide was fantastic and gave us so much information about the area and Chinese history. We would never take so much from our visit if not for our tour guide. Included lunch was delicious, our guide suggested trying traditional dishes and it was fun and filling. The restaurant was on the water. The only thing we would do different, we would upgrade to a full day tour, instead of half day. But it's personal preference, only because we loved just being in the Water Village and would love to spend whole day there. Yes, we do recommend this tour if you are looking for a private tour

Short individual car ride to Zhujiajiao Water Town, excellent driver.
Sunny wasour guide and she was outstanding !
Very nice guide, great detailed guidance on all things we have seen.
Paying a little extra to get individual transport and boat ride is worth it.
Sunny advised us the day before to change the visit to early morning to avoid the holiday crowd which we appreciated a lot.
5 Star rating for Sunny !
