What an amazing experience. Issac was our guide for the entire trip and was fantastic. Our group included both Spanish and non-Spanish speakers. He was very helpful and cordial. Pro Tip: if you do the trip that includes the mezcal tasting in Teotihuacan, hold off on buying souvenirs at the shop as the very next stop is the pyramids with lots of individual vendors willing to haggle and make a deal on the same items.

Let’s start with the positives (and while I recommend this, I do so with a few reservations, so you may want to keep reading beyond the positives…):
Taking a ride in a hot air balloon was a total bucket list item. Gently soaring over one of the most significant archeological sites in all of the Americas was magical.
The magic was tempered a bit with the logistics of the trip. While I booked well in advance, I didn’t receive specifics on where to meet until around 8:30pm on the night before the trip, and when we had to rendezvous at 4am the following day, that seemed to be cutting it needlessly close.
Toward the end of the trip we were informed that we could only spend about 30 minutes touring the pyramids following the balloon ride (and obligatory stop to a local artisanal craft shop) because of some events happening in Mexico City that would make for a difficult return trip through lots of traffic. (If you only are planning to visit here once, I’d strongly recommend taking more than 30 minutes - it takes a while to walk through the entire site).
I can empathize with the organizers on this one - sitting in *extra* traffic isn’t fun for the driver or the passengers. But as we came close to Mexico City, our driver informed our van load of about 13 passengers that we’d all have to get out and walk the rest of the way to our respective hotels (which would have been about a 90 (!!!) minute walk back to our hotels). We were accompanied by a friend who lives locally and after about 15 minutes of back and forth, she was able to get the driver to drop us off within a 5 minute walk to our hotel. Definitely not cool when it comes to a complete experience, and could’ve been worse had our friend not persisted in an argument to get us realistically close to our hotel.
So, in sum: magical flight (which is what the memories will be years from now), the opposite of magical when it comes to the tour company’s communication, logistical preparations and execution (which will hopefully fade, but definitely diminished from the magic of the experience).

Here’s a revised version:
The hot air balloon ride was fun, but the shuttle did not take us back to the hotel, which was inconvenient. They mentioned they couldn't take us back due to the Pride parade, but I believe this information was known to the company and should’ve been shared with us at least 24 hours prior to our departure. That way, we could have planned ahead. Other than that, the view was great.

They were very nice and informative. Friendly, Isaac was one of the best tour guide. The hot air balloon experience is safe. Make sure you try the breakfast at the cave! Book with this company!

Such an amazing experience, our tour guide Isaac was absolutely amazing, we were actually sad when he said this is where we part ways. We made some friends along the tour that made it even more enjoyable!

I know that it is out of their control but there is only a small chance the balloons will fly over the pyramids. It depends on the wind. There was no wind when we went so we basically just went up and came back down. Saw nothing. I wouldn’t do it again. Not worth taking the chance and spending that much money.

It was the best experience. It was our first air ballon ride. It was safe. They explain everything before we ride. We were able to enjoy the ride.
I wish the sun was out to have better view.

The entire experience was incredible!! The balloon ride was stunning and I enjoyed getting to know some of the history of Mexico. The breakfast was also delicious!
