We had a fantastic time with Mateo. He was funny and we could tell he really enjoys teaching! I learned so much about the importance of the symbolism in the art and sculptures.

I appreciated learning the history of the Doge's palace and St. Mark's Basilica as well as about the vast amount of art in both places. Both are part of a unique place and period in time that I did not know a lot about. The guide was very knowledgeable about both. My only regret is that we did not spend a little longer in the Basilica. I did feel that the tour was a bit rushed there. However, we were free to remain in the Basilica after the tour ended as long as we wished.

I. The tour was advertised as meeting on the left side of the bridge when facing the laguna. Turned out to be on the right side but finding it took at least two trips over and back on the bridge on a warm ver humid day. Don’t do that.
2. The guide was very well versed and her identification of continuing themes in the buildings’ art and architecture was persuasive and revelatory. Her voice was not strong, accentuating the accent of her spoken English and making it easier for the listener to tune out or lose the thread.
3. Altogether a valuable tour but could use some improvement.

Our tour was fantastic. Iole from City Wonder was our tour guide and she was kind, educational, and funny. We didn’t know where the meeting point was and called the info number on our tickets and the representative guided us to the correct location and would not hang up with us until we were there.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable but hard to understand at times. Meeting place was hidden behind construction so was hard to find at first. Overall, glad we had a guide.

Ana was a great tour guide. She provided the right level of information and enthusiasm. Meeting location was easy to find especially as the guide waved a flag with the company information.

Very amazing complex, it was really unique compared to the other sites we saw in Italy. Our guide was fantastic and equipped with a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide was an art history major & spent most of the time on the describing the art work in the buildings. I would have preferred to learn more about the buildings & their importance in Venetian history. Overall I think it could be a good tour, but may depend on your tour guide.

the tour guide, Giovanni was very good. However the tour was very rushed with very little time spent on the 2 islands
the Murano trip was basically spent watching a glass blowing example which was good, but by the time theatric round the factory was done there was very little time ti see Murano
The Murano seeing example was a total waste of time, 3 minutes in total watching an old lady just sewing. Then there was just 55 minutes to see the island and get lunch, no where near enough time
I will be recommending to my friends that they book the trips separate from a tour operator near the pier
