Be among the first visitors of the day to enter the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel before the crowds have poured in. With the help of your enthusiastic guide, you will sweep past the long galleries of tapestries, sculptures, and frescoes directly to the most magnificent and important piece, the Sistine Chapel. By making Michelangelo’s masterpiece your first formal stop on the tour you will arrive before nearly anyone else has had the time to find a map! This will mean that you and your small group of 12 people or less will have plenty of time to gasp in wonder at the work of this Renaissance genius while your guide brings the art to life with stories and details of its creation.

Our guide did not show up. We did receive a small refund ($25 per person) and admission to the Vatican museum and sistine Chapel, but we were on our own. Navigating with out a guide was fine, but we would have had a much better experience with a guide. I could have purchased a ticket myself saved money and had the same experience.

Excellent guide. Very knowledgeable. Skipping lines and getting in early was fantastic. We spent as much time as we wanted in the Sistine Chapel.

The Sistine Chapel is simply a must see. And this is the way to do it of you a) are actually interested in the art and the meaning and b) want the best chance to have the experience without a huge crowd.

The meeting place is a bit confusing as it’s just some stairs with no signs; the guides eventually show up with little signs atop sticks.

The crowds, Michaelangelo story, tapestries. There wasn't a feeling of a "private" tour as we were among 100s of others.

Oxsana, our tour guide, was wonderful. FYI, Unfortunately the Vatican Museums procedures still don’t allow access to the Sistine Chapel as quick as this tour is advertised for.

Stunning array of religious art. Reasonable fitness required to travers many corridors, passageways, stone steps etc. Minimum ventilation and warm in peak months. Not recommend for anyone who is clostophobic or is prone to anxiety attacks. In an emrgency the evacuation would be complex and slow

Our guide Hilaria, or YaYa (meaning friend) as she let our kids affectionately refer to her as, was an exceptional guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable and her passion for the history and art was ever present. Our only regret was doing the shorter tour. Thank you Hilaria ❤️

Oscar was very passionate about art and he pointed out things that most people would overlook. The excursion wasn’t quite what we thought it would be but we enjoyed it.
