Our tour guide, Stephanie, did a fantastic job. History is all about telling the story and Stephanie excelled in telling the story. Prior to entering the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Square, she prepared us by describing what we were about to see, the story behind it, and what to look for when we accessed the venue. It was amazing!

Make sure you avoid this company. Having arrived half an hour before our scheduled tour we were told that due to guide staff strikes we wouldn’t be getting a guided tour of the Vatican and instead were given our fast track tickets and sent on our way, assured we would receive an adequate refund.

Having paid £95 per person we were given a refund of £42 per person which means the company have kept £53 from each purchase for the cost of a fast track Vatican ticket which can be bought for around €25.

I would avoid this company at all costs and just pay to get the fast track entry ticket!! Disgusted!!

Quality of speaker system not that great. Guide knowledgeable but could not understand too well. Very nasal sound.

The whole tour was quite stunning! We were in a group of about 20 people. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and I was excited to hear what she had to say. She was very well educated and you could tell she truly knew and understood the history of the area. However, between the thickness of her accent and the headsets, I found myself straining to hear during most of the tour. There was also a family carrying fans causing more noise on the headsets. I found even the lowest volume hurt my ears. I tried to position myself close to the guide which helped. I understand there are so many things to see, but I also felt the tour was rushed. We were with the guide about 2 hours 15 minutes at which point we were released to go through St. Peter’s Cathedral on our own. I wished I had more time to enjoy the Vatican museums and if I had to do it over again, I’d turn my headset in early and go a little more slowly through it on my own.

Very important to have a guided tour here. It's extremely crowded and the guide gets you in quickly as well as providing so much information that you would never know otherwise. Highly recommend!

A Vatican tour is on everyone's list for things to do in Rome, and this tour did not dissappoint. The summer school holiday crowds made the Sistine Chapel experience underwhelming, but there were other unexpected treasures in the Museum such as the incredible tapestries that left you in awe of the craftsmen/artists that made them.

Our scheduled excursion to the Vatican was changed, not by us, and without our knowledge. When we arrived to the excursion, given the date and time emailed to us (and still showing on our app), we were told that we did not have a spot because we were supposed to have been there 2 days prior (and at a different time). We ended up paying double through another (rather shady) agency, and were left by our tour guide 1/3 of the way through the tour. This left us paying so much more and seeing very little of what we had paid to see. Viator should have notified us of the amendment, even though the date and time change was during a different tour (Colosseum), so either way we would not have been able to make it. This was the most important tours on our trip that we made, and it was completely ruined. And none of it was our fault or reason for the incident.

The overall viewing within the Vatican was fabulous and extremely educational and worthwhile. Viator's guide failed to show up, so we were on our own. Why we weren't reassigned to one of the other many many groups is inexcusable. We were told that we would receive at least a partial refund, but have not to this point. I paid approximately $300 for 2 people and all we received was entry. Furthermore, we were not able to bypass the line to St. Peter's and did not go as a result.
