The tour was wonderful! I was able to see the beautiful sights of Puerto Plata in an amazing classic. In addition our driver, Kelbin, was knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Great service at a great price! Definitely an amazing tour!

Awful experience. They overbook, cram you into a small car or back seat with strangers on the tour. If you aren’t first in line you don’t get much choice on cars. The walking tour was the worst, the older fella was grumpy throughout tour and demanded tips “for his lunch”, he didn’t stop at pink street, the chocolate “factory” is just a store and the chocolate is gross, threw it out when I got home and tried it. The stops on the tour are for you to be blasted with “open market” sellers opening your car door, touching you, begging you to buy some trinkets and follow you to get you to come to their table. The only positive is the driver and the rum punch.

This excursion was incredible! Mr. Dewars was the best tour guide we could have hoped for. He was incredibly attentive with our grandma who has trouble walking, and he took so many great photos of us. We never had to battle with the other tourists, he somehow always had us at the front of the line. He had cold water, great knowledge, and the best attitude. We truly felt like we had VIP service. The car was great, and it was so much more enjoyable than being shuttled around in packed vans like everyone else. I seriously can’t recommend this enough, and if you go, I sure hope you get to spend the day with Dewar. He was such a highlight for us throughout the whole trip.

Absolutely amazing time. Our your guide, Marvin, arrived early and contacted me to tell me so. He was so amazing with details about Puerto Plata and taking care of the four of us. Marvin even repaired my shoe, of which broke on the very first stop- yes, he had glue in the trunk of the car and repaired me shoe!!!
This tour was an amazing time, so cool too be a super star for a day, I would love to do this again!
Thanks Marvin & classic cars for making our day beautiful!

The classic cars were so much fun. Our driver, Marvin was outstanding. Very thoughtful and informative. Pick the ‘52 Chevy—-Marvin even had the oldies on the radio. Rum tasting, umbrella street, cigar museum, fort and more.

What a great experience. This trip was more than what we expected. We were driven in our 64 Ford Falcon to multiple locations all the while listening to our knowledgeable driver Dewar. He was amazing, providing us with cold water, cigars, lots of information, and all the cool spots throughout the town He even became our own personal photographer. Fransisco met us on Umbrella Street, along with the rest of the classic cars, we made quite the sight! We listened to the history of chocolate on the island and received a sampling. From there we traveled to Pink Street, Central Park along with a beautiful church, the Amber Museum, a cigar rolling demonstration, and the rum factory together. We had loads of fun! Admission to all was included and so were the drinks! Yes, we did walk from a few blocks, but it would be silly to drive two blocks to the next location. At no time did I feel unsafe. And as far as AC in the car, most classic cars do not have AC. If you need AC and no walking - you should pre-arrange a modern taxi. I would absolutely recommend this trip.

This was an amazing tour that I would highly suggest if you are in Puerto Plata. Our tour guide, Dewar was friendly and knowledgeable and the ride in the classic Ford Fairlane convertible was so incredible on a warm, sunny day on the island. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience Puerto Plata!

The tour could have been better from the beginning. The cars arrived late, and the car selection process needed to be more organized. Jorge had us pick cars and then kept coming back to tell us to pick again. When we went out to get in our car, the drivers told us to pick a different one. Tickets or slips need to be distributed so everyone knows what car to go to. We thought we would get one car and ended up with 4 of us squeezed into a hot, tight space. Our driver, Ray, was a really nice guy who tried to convince us that the we were having a great ime.
It took us only a little while to realize that our private car tour, for which we had paid a fortune, was just a shuttle service from place to place. We would be dropped off and deserted until our driver moved another group around and came back for us. We ended up walking 2.5 miles over the course of the "Car Tour." We should have signed up for something else. When we returned to the port, they dropped us off very far from the ship at the opposite end of Taino Bay. It was an obvious ploy to get us to shop. That failed miserably and just made us angrier than we already were.
Only take this tour if you want to be dropped off all over Puerto Plata for experiences that take about 10 minutes, and then wait 25 minutes for someone to come back for you.

We did the Classic Car tour through NCL a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! We chose a vintage Rolls Royce and Alfred was our driver. He was a great tour guide! He was knowledgeable, attentive, had cold water for us, got me a coconut to drink, brought us to Umbrella St, the Rum Factory and around town… we stopped at a nice beach and saw a 🌈! I got many photos and we thouroughly enjoyed this tour! Thanks Alfred😊

We booked with Classic Cars, We were all impressed with the tours we went to during this excursion.
Our guide, Dewar, was fantastic, he was able to answer all our questions, was very friendly. Great picture taker and good driver.
