One of the largest mosques in the world, which is open from Saturday to Thursday from 08:00 to 11:00. On Friday, it will be closed. Here you can admire the second largest handmade carpet in the world and the famous chandelier in the main prayer hall.

The 4,000 square meter fish market is designed to unite The old and the new harmoniously, and its ample space creates a public meeting space where local fishermen and tourists from all over the world meet under one roof.

Mutrah Souq, one of the Arab world's oldest markets, exudes timeless beauty and charm. Named after darkness due to its shaded stalls and lanes, it once catered to Omanis' basic needs in the 1960s. It offered local and imported products, including textiles, jewelry, incense, and crafts. The souk's narrow alleys, often called the Market of Darkness, are covered and famous for their distinct sections. The eastern and western parts, split by Khawr Bimbah, are referred to as the small and large markets—the former being the Market of Darkness, and the latter serving as the wholesale hub.

Al Alam Palace, also known as Sultan's Palace and the Sultan Qaboos Palace, is one among the six royal residences of Sultan Qaboos located in Muscat. It looks out to the Gulf of Oman. The ruling monarch’s residence was built in 1972 which holds a history of 200 years. The palace is known for its flamboyant Islamic architecture which is surrounded by lush green garden and the Mutrah Harbour. This official residence is used to receive distinguished guests who visit the country. Al Alam Palace was built by Imam Sultan Bin Ahmed who is the seventh direct grandfather of Sultan Qaboos. It was initially called the Bait Al Alam and was rebuilt in 1972 as a royal residence. However, visitors will only be allowed to see the Palace from outside the gates and can take photographs from there.

Fort Al-Mirani is a fort located in the harbor of the city of Old Muscat, Oman. The fort existed prior to the Portuguese invasion and was later rebuilt by the Portuguese in 1587. The fort became the first to use cannons in Oman. Here we stop for sightseeing and picture taking.

In a beautifully restored house, this much-loved privately owned museum exhibits Omani heritage in thematic displays of traditional handicrafts, furniture, stamps and coins. The museum has evolved into the cultural centre of Muscat, hosting international exhibitions of contemporary art in Gallery Sarah within the museum's grounds. A modern cafe and a shop selling quality souvenirs usually entice visitors to stay longer than they expected.
